@@herbhungwell8134 really? Where are you from? Because I’m friends with a logger that pays his drivers by the day and they make good money. Also of course log truck drivers don’t make as much as OTR drivers because they don’t run 24/7 and not all of them own their own trucks either. And finally the guy above was talking about Bobbys equipment operators not truckers so I don’t get why you’re complaining about what the truckers make to start with
@herbhungwell8134
@herbhungwell8134 2 жыл бұрын
@@tjduke1111 I don't what you consider "Good money" as you put it but I'll just enlighten you a bit. In 1996 I was driving log trucks for a major logging operation out of Central Indiana. I was making 500 bucks a week busting my ass for 6 days if I was lucky! I quit and started driving for Ben Franklin crafts. I left the house on Sunday night and was back home Wednesday morning and my week was done. I made $63,000 the first goddamn year I worked there driving THEIR truck. Now you might consider $100-$150 a day "Good money" but it's not shit compared to what the average driver makes OTR. My information is not coming from "A Friend". It's coming from my real life experience. The reason I'm talking about truck driver pay is because he was practically begging for drivers in the damn video. Did you not see that part? Guess not huh. Another little tidbit.... I promise that you are clueless about. The farther South and East you get in the U.S. the less truck drivers get paid be it a log truck or an OTR driver.

I am a real engineer with 3 engineering degrees... The load rating on the strap is not is NOT the same as the weight of the vehicle. You have to realize to realize that the vehicle cannot can not pull as much as it weighs. Most of the time the actual poll will be will be less than 10% of the weight of the vehicle. There are many considerations such as the coefficient of friction; whether it is wheeled or tracked; and whether you are using hydraulics. Those types of straps are often more effective because because they "give" when they are pulled as compared to a chain which simply breaks. It is advisable to clean them after use because and because any sand in there will cause severe abrasion and greatly reduce you reduce the maximum strength. It was a great idea and they will serve you well. I am a retired research engineer and would be happy to help you in any way possible. Love the show! During these troubled times, the show is so very important because people need to see that religion (God) makes us better people. Our universities are failing us and our children as they attack God because of their arrogance. Humanism is a grave sin... Thank you so very much!

Love watching your videos! Please stay safe and keep an eye out for those water moccasins and the gators! When working with Freon, shake the cans up and then urn them upside down so the liquid moves into the system instead of the vapors!

They’s still a few places like at left here in Arkansas, but it seems like when we get a new highway built we lose places like this. This is the way I grew up and I really miss it.

Well I enjoyed my breakfast twice as much this morning watching your new video. Fantastic they really are compulsive viewing. Always a pleasure seeing the crew working hard and Justin working and using his mechanical skills. And Bobby now becoming a air conditioning expert lol. We have a tractor with air conditioning problems so anytime your free we'd appreciate your help lol. Thanks for posting all your videos. Look forward to seeing more. Regards to the family and crew from across the pond
