It always makes me stunned how people let their pools go this dirty because in Brazil you would be fined if you didn’t clean your pool regularly. We have something called Sanitary Supervision that inspects anything that could be a danger for public health. Especially because of dengue risks.

First off, I am not putting you down. I am putting down your governments piss poor protection of it's people. Think about this for a few minutes. (I used 2018 data because, it has been verified)... Brazil had 160 deaths from Dengue in 2018. Also, Brazil had 57,358 murders in 2018. Meanwhile that same year the UK had 809 murders and no mosquito borne virus deaths. Your country has Sanitary Supervision??? WTF? What is the point? Wear some bug spray or start using genetically modified mosquitoes to stop the massive breeding. Anyway...While I understand the importance of protecting the people from Dengue. Your country has much bigger problems than some mosquitoes. I feel bad for anyone living is a Socialist country. The USA is following in the footsteps of Brazil. All because, so many have been fooled by fake problems created by politicians trying to get elected. They have become so stupid in my country that even when this moron Biden says the dumbest shit and does the dumbest shit. They still think it's a joke. I've never seen so much ignorance in my life. Lastly, I have a 6m x 12m pool that holds 124918L of water. I keep it very clean. I am a bit obsessed with it. I turn on my robot daily, skim the top, check chemicals every 3 days and run my pump 10 hours/day.

I’ve been there and never want to go back. As 1 pool boy to another you guys did an amazing cleanup from what was given to you to work with. Straight bleach or better yet liquid chlorine works well on cutting through the crud. And when all else fails muriatic acid. Definitely need a respirator. I did 1 like this years ago. Polished the whole pool with a 50 grit diamond pad and did the coping too. Came out really nice but I had to work for it. Those days over for me. Great to see you young guys going after it.

And a paint job is expensive. I know for my area. 1 gallon of paint + 1 paint of the epoxy mixture is $100. Just like your house one gallon does not go that far. So, i bet a paint job is over $1k after the pool was cleaned they would still have to wait for a period of clear weather for the pool to dry from the clean up, then paint, than a day or so for the paint to dry. I think if you get better at some of the basic pressure washing techniques, it will come out a lot better. Not sure what you were using to kill the algae, but a high chlorine mix would have done wonders especially on the side wall. The pool came out decent enough I think. But sometimes when I watch you guys using the pressure washing wand, I just want to reach through the screen and grab it out of your hands. Hope you don't take that the wrong way because you guys obviously care a lot. But, yeah your not using the pressure washing equipment you already have to its full potential IMO. Either way, keep up the hard work. Great vids!

@Rastaman well there are no leaks since it's holding water. So the plumbing should be fine. When they turn the pump on that could be a different story. Bad pump, replace pump, leaking with pump on there that would need to be addressed. But i assume any structural damage he would have noticed during clean up and would have told owner. And would have mentioned in the video. Pools like this are 30-50k low end. If there is underground water, and it's bad enough of could push the pool out of the ground and that's a nightmare to deal with by they seemed to have no issue there

Yeah that's the thing that annoys me about this one. By all means clear the pool out, but get someone in to tidy up the edges first with a high power pressure washer and even weed killer the growth first. I would also pay for someone to come through & clean all the pipes with a pressure washer like drain cleaners do, once the pool is empty. Oh and get rid of all the old poolside equipment, most of it is plastic so it won't have aged well in the sun. At least that way you won't have so much muck still in the pool when you fill it again.

Quite a waste of time using an inadequate pressure ! They could have done a decent cleaning with a substantial machine (which have an array of tips for different pressure tasks) Spray bleach from a garden pressure when the gross deposits are removed. Let the bleach sit for 15/20 minutes and go back with pressure washer again and you’ll have a dramatic change. Use a good mask & eye protection when spraying bleach

Bro I love your videos and these disgusting transformations. Please keep them coming. If you don’t mind one productive criticism please get a more powerful pressure washer or partner with a local pressure washing company so they can pressure wash the whole pool deck and area for you and you can concentrate on the pool itself. It would be a win-win for both of you and the other company.

Best way to fix a pool like this, step 1/ Drain the pool. 2/Fill pool to top with a good load of top quality soil for growing roses. 3/ Plant a beautiful variety of roses. 4/ Sit back on your banana lounge with a cool drink and admire the roses growing. Not as silly as it sounds, my father-in-law's next door neighbour, (a doctor), did exactly this after his kids left home. Liked his home hated the pool.

With your experience what works best / most economical set-up, easiest set-up to maintain etc. I’m not asking for brand endorsements or anything like that but things like minimum pool size, salt water/ Chlorine, glass mosaic/ marble/ ceramic tiles etc. In your opinion what are some of the common pitfalls that are made, which makes the ongoing maintenance of the pool much harder than it needs to be / more economical to run, if only people had thought about during the planning stage 😊❤️👍🏼

When do you decide that the plaster it too far damaged and it needs to be redone (grinding then replastering ) ? This pools floor looked pretty beat up even after the acid washes and power washing .Im amazed that pools in the UK are allowed to get this bad. In the US we have county ordinances that would fine the property owner severely if the pool went green and was not maintained.

sodium hypochlorite, or swimming pool chlorine has a typical strength of around 14/15%, which is about 4.5x stronger than household bleach. Diluting the chemical alters the strength, with 1% being 1:14 and 7.5% at 1:1.
