I didnt think it was mulloway, your line would be screaming off your spool from time to time, I thought it was probably a ray or even a small shark as tailor are top water and you dont get them at a big size also a tailor would jump once it’s around the surface.

It's a delicacy, but sadly protected in WA. Reason being the public is so fond of stingrays, patting and everything, which is stupid and dangerous. We should follow some states that allow one per day, as there are so many of them. A man just died being stung by a stingray recently mid November 2018.
