i saw them in san francisco a few days after this and it completely changed how i listen to swans. just getting pummeled by sound, my nostrils and pants vibrating constantly. i get taken back to that feeling whenever i listen to any of their stuff now

Saw this in NYC, one of, if not THE, best concerts I've seen in my life.

I know Gira is notoriously loud, what about this show should I be wearing earplugs?

@@ignacioscheid8296 Thank you. I don’t want to be the type of guy to look at a solar eclipse without glasses.

@@burn_out nice comparission; I have read comments about lamenting to not wear earplug in recent concerts, and some others being happy to have use it, a guy did not finnish the concert because he felt bad because of the ammount of sound. So better to carry them. Enjoy your experience!

@@ignacioscheid8296 I would like to thank you again for your advice. I decided to wear hearing protection and I didn’t regret it. I also tried removing my earplugs for about 20 minutes and it was really overwhelming. I felt like listening to Swans is not just about hearing their sound, but also feeling it with your whole body. Listening without protection made me focus too much on the loudness of the music and that would make me feel uncomfortable.

@@burn_out waaah sorry not to write to you before, but maybe YT didn't notice me about your answer or maybe I didn't saw it, anyway thanks for your comment, and yes, to be in a SWANS concert is a mixed experience, beginning from the body experience of the astonishing loud sound to the music that in these days is more melodic than rhythmic as they were years and decades ago Thanks again for tell me your experience and thoughts, I have never been in a SWANS concert, but you can go and burn out in the overwhelming experience of the loud swans' chant before they end their days, take your protection out the next time and feel uncomfortable as much as you can, the next concerts will be the last as it looks to be 😢 Greetings from South America
