Swans Island Sojourn was commissioned for the 25th Anniversary of Viking School, Gurnee, Illinois. It is dedicated to the Viking Symphonic Band, Michael Bandman, director.

Out of all the music pieces I have ever played(although which aren't that many), I love this one the most!!

According to one information source, this was written in 1996, when Mr. Reineke was about 26 years of age.

I bought this CD about a year ago, and this is probably my favorite song. I got it because my school band played 'Fate of the Gods' and I loved it, and wanted to hear more. For a long time Pilatus MOD was my favorite, but I guess I overplayed it. This is one of the most uplifting songs I have ever heard :D
