The stylistic range in their band history is quite impressive

From filth, to holey money, to the burning world, to soundtracks for the blind, to the trilogy, the evolution is crazy🔥

1:22 - 2:05 would play perfectly at the end of a movie with a powerful, yet compromising ending.

LYRICS Now I'm not a man and I don't feel love And I don't see anything coming down from above But this world spins slowly and I see a light Rising up from behind the horizon up into the clear black sky But I don't see you in my line of sight In fact I can't remember why we are alive

The guitar on this was later reused in Live Through Me on Soundtracks For The Blind.

I'm not sure if it was exactly the same guitar bit as in this version cause I don't hear it at all here but the guitar in live through me is definitely playing along to this song
@wispycirrus99073 жыл бұрын
@@MeMeMcsplosion it's definitely not the same recording as on this song but the guitar riff in the verses is extremely similar in both chord structure and picking pattern to the riff in Live Through Me

I need to go out, buy a turntable and get this album on vinyl so I can listen to it at home. I picked it up on iTunes and this album reaches reaches inside me something fierce.

Weird, he second part is straight up different from the original, for the better i'd say.
@60circuits606 жыл бұрын
yeah i love the section starting at 3:50, they really should have put it as the main version. the original simply repeats the opening sequence of the song, which is not bad, but the section in this version is just amazing.

I did a double take the first time I played the record after taking it home. This version is far superior in my opinion.

Yeah that part makes this song one of the most breathtakingly beautiful songs in their discography imo. The instrumental is just brilliant.

Love you too, Mr. Gira. Don't worry, I already have this album on CD. But like many of my favourite CDs, *White Light from the Mouth of Infinity* lives in my car so I can listen to the songs while I drive. So hooray for youTube.

There's a very slight skip around 0:31 and I thought my album was faulty. I wonder what's the purpose leaving something like that on the final mix.

Turns out there are quite a few skips across their discography. One would think they'd correct these when remastering the albums, but I guess, that's not the case.
