I bought the 30L Vevor ultrasonic cleaner a couple of months ago. Very satisfied, so far. I usually fill it with water, and put cleaner and parts in glass jars or plastic bags-saves on cleaner, and makes it easier to clean the unit.

Hello Max. You can fill the tank with water and use secondary containers, plastic bag or jar or cup with the object to be cleaned in the solution of choice. Saves you a lot of cleanup and the waves travel right on through. Waves are also related to the surface area of the parts that you are cleaning. More surface area more cavitation. Nice review. I have the 30 liter version. And I love it. Mark

I worked at Detroit Diesel over 30 years ago we had an ultrasonic machine in the injector room it cost thousands of dollars. I bought one of these and have been cleaning LS Piston and Rod assemblies it works beautiful. I ran it at 60 degrees and used 4 Cascade Platinum dishwasher pods absolutely awesome.

I have this 15l too but with the dials not sticker controls (yes its just a sticker on these like singing/flashy birthday cards..lol). I got a 15L due to their (6) transducers vs (4) on 10L. Even less on smaller 6L, most only have one transducer. I mainly use it on carbs & antique clock mechanisms, does great. 1 Gal- Simple Green or DG Mean Green. + 3/4 cup Acetone. + 1/2 cup Joy or Dawn dish soap. + 1 Gal or top off tank with Distilled Water. Most degreasers need water to even clean. Rinse well immediately after. This is a good low cost recipe for most metals. Beware of corrosive juices, some destroy fine threads in Aluminum carbs. Especially China carbs...Peace Fill tank with water & put small parts inside glass jars or a sealed kitchen baggy full of cleaning chems saves you money, works quite well.

I designed ultrasonics. Here's an interesting test of your ultrasonic cleaner that is useful to see where the field effect is strongest and weakest. Also to see if one of the transducers is not working. put a sheet of aluminium foil straight down into the bath. The ultrasonic cavitation waves are strong enough to poke holes in the foil. From this party trick you have real time visual cues to it's operation to impress your friends.

The cavitation itself agitates the liquid and raises the temperature. The transducers are putting energy into the liquid this way. I had a very large unit in my company we designed and used to clean film processor racks - 6,000 watts. We had heating, but after a few runs found that very little was needed. A few years ago I made a unit to clean records. Interesting to see that they use the same transducers and amplifiers that I did. My tank is very thin though just about 30mm wide, but with four of those transducers and two amplifiers. Works really well. But my transducers did the same thing. Apparently when first used they give a stronger effect then settle down to their normal strength.

When first starting with new fluid or after being shut off an initial degassing of the cleaner for about 10 minutes at operating temperature helps the cleaning action. To check ultrasound production hold a piece of aluminium foil in the bath, within a 10 - 15 seconds small holes will be punched in the foil.

I got the big one from vevo. I watched a lot of the videos as well and a lot of them say the heaters will cause these to break so they use external heat. I think there is some truth to that because heat is the enemy of electronics and mechanical things. Of course there is always the one person out there that likes to contradict everything just for the sake of being contradictory who will say they never had a problem using the heater on these and they have owned 8 million of them and they all work flawlessly. In any case, I'm using an external heater on mine because I don't want to tempt fate. I have owned well made professional ultrasonic cleaners in the past, and these can still be had for several thousand dollars and they do work a lot better then the vevo but I have found for the price the vevo is cleaning ok, not great, just ok. I'm going to be using it in my anodizing room to clean parts to be anodized. I've been using secondary containers as to keep the water in the tank clean. The containers will move around a bit and I'm not sure if this is good or bad. I'm going to try both with and without secondary containers and see if there is an issue or not. Ok, taking bets now that there will be at least 1 contradictor who replies just to contradict my comment. I'll start the bet at 50 bucks. 😆🤣

Not just Vevor its all models. Setting these up against walls, in corners or anywhere airflow becomes limited around the bottom causes most overheating Im sure. I set 2×4s under both ends of mine to add space underneath just to help airflow. Its true, heat & PC boards don't do well together. In 2012 we bought a new wall oven. I swear every review said their new oven failed on its first self cleaning attempt (temp maxes to clean). I finally found one with no issue at all. GE's top model passed the test, so when I got it home I removed a metal cover inside just to see its motherboard. GE simply installed a nice squirrel cage (fan wheel) to blow directly on the PC board at all times. Thats all they all needed to do to stop the madness. As soon as you turn that oven on you hear its fan come on, its fan runs till oven cools. Never had issues with it! I was just about to install a gas oven/stove both because they had no bs issues. They perform better, cheaper to operate anyway. Anyway keeping the fan guard extra clean on bottom of this unit is a must.

@@harryballz6358 Good idea. I'm running external heating. I have a 240 volt outlet just for the ultra cleaner and that way I can dedicate one leg to the cleaner and one to the heater. I think I'll follow your advice anyway and stick a couple 2X4s under my machine to keep the air flowing. On that note, my anodizing room is an over pressure room, and the filtration fan is right next to the cleaner so it's going to be getting all kinds of nice clean fresh cool air when I'm working in the room. 👍👍👍

Yeah, it seems as though it is not quit as vigorously moving the flued as in the first instance, the next time you have the bottom off again you might just look at all the wiring connections seeing that everything is somewhat vibrating maybe one of the wire connections came loose. with that said, nice demonstration of how it works..........

Hello Max. This would have saved me a ton of time and effort when I was rebuilding my HBM, especially the bolts, nuts and washers as they are such a pain in the ass to clean. The increasing fluid temp beyond the set point is caused by the energy input from the ultrasonic waves. I was wondering if draining while it is running would keep the sludge in suspension and it would then be filtered out in the rags. Ken

max, for the small stuff, put that stuff in a old glass jam jar and close it with al lid, put gasoline in the jar, put the jar in de fluid and that wil degrease little parts very very good. or put citron acid in the jar, that will derust parts very good. the advantige is that with closed jars /containers is that you keep the 15 liter solution much more clean and you can epiriment with different solutions without empthying all the solution. btw, those vibrating "things" are called transducers max. cheers ben..

Hi Max, don’t know how long you’ve had that degreaser but the hazard warning labelling isn’t legal in Aus. ,the labelling used is from the UN shipping system. It should have the red bordered diamond GHS symbol for corrosive, at least it has something though. Red diamond is the Globally Harmonised System now pretty much adopted globally. As well as the spec I’d advocate gloves too. As you noticed there is some self heating this is due to energy from the U/S waves If you’re in a hurry starting with a kettle of hot water helps. Cheers.

Mate I would avoid this mob like the plague. Some of their products look good for the price but it's not about the product it's about the customer support should you need it (and buying cheaper products there is always a chance you'll need it). They may have refund and warranty policies listed on their web site but they certainly don't honour any of them. It was without doubt the worst customer experience in my entire life (and is still ongoing). They apologise profusely for your "inconvenience" and then just keep stalling you wanting video and photographic evidence making you jump through hoops hoping to wear you down. In the end they do. I spent $360 and got a faulty product. I immediately contacted them and after two weeks of stuffing me around they are willing to give me $100 and I get to keep the busted machine. What a deal! (still haven't seen the $100 but I've still got a useless machine). Just do a search for reviews on the company and you'll find many experiences like mine. Never again now matter how attractive the price.
