Illuminates are very scary because it truly does feel like we're fighting against an alien invasion like we're the first responders to a catastrophe event on streets filled with abandoned cars, buildings, street lamps, small parks, statues, etc. They're also a very fresh change of paste vs terminids and automatons. Terminids feels like you're being relentlessly pursued with hunters, stalkers, and chargers which makes you have to react fast and play in the thick of it. Automatons is almost the exact opposite where you're holding your ground behind cover looking for a opening to push forward. Illuminates strike a middle ground between the 2 where you getting slowly pushed back but these harvesters and voteless but still have to occasionally take cover to avoid these overseers taking shots at you and the laser beam from the harvesters. Its a very different feel from the other 2 factions which was very much needed because the other 2 fronts were starting to get really repetitive.

I play every mission as though it were a stealth game. The bots and bugs identically have scouting parties, as do the Illuminate. Going through the bots is like infiltrating a military base. Going through the bugs is like a hive, of course. But the Illuminate are special. You got the shock appeal of seeing your own fellow citizens corrupted and mindless. Buildings abandoned and replaced with alien tyrants. You gotta dodge these floating eyes scouting around. It gives the sensation of infiltrating a city overrun by a totalitarian dictatorship. Amazingly strong foot soldiers with futuristic technology that, dare I say, rivals, outclasses ours even. The audacity. The atmosphere is just terrific. It's an amazing change of pace. Exactly what the game was missing.

The jetpack is doing something really weird now though. I ragdoll every time I jump, which it definitely didn't do before.

After fighting the illuminates for a bit I noticed that there are only 5 enemy types. Specifically two are missing from the leaks that being the wizard on the chair and these big guys. Knowing arrow head the Illuminates on Calypso are just a scouting group while the rest of the main army have yet to show.

The "warning" on the Jumppack is more aimed to when you want to use a flamethrower while jumping, not the jumppack igniting stuff arround it.

Forget what these guys are talking about. I’m near max level and love the game but I was starting to really get bored with it. Played just 2 matches with my friends last night and had the most fun I’ve ever had in this game before. First game we got destroyed so we came back after adjusting our strat and just barely managed to complete the mission. It was so epic

I never played the first helldivers but I played one round against the squids and I can see why they are such a threat I heard what they had prior game and can say they have the swarming tactics of the termanids and the firepower of the automatons with their own personal flavor that says “this won’t be like last time”. Which it won’t. We use bugs for oil, bots for labor and those squids will be grilled, now that we have a spear need i say kabobbed like the calamari they are.

From 1-hour data collection on the new front, me and my research team have confirmed a few strengths and disadvantages of a few of the units: Heavy staff: Head gear is med armor, as the sickle cannot penetrate. Tripods: joints connecting the legs to the main body are the major weak point. Spawners: The shields surrounding the ship can be wiped out in half-heat from sickle, in addition, any explosive thrown through the opening in either side of the ship will 1-tap it.

I think what they meant by being careful with fire and the jetpack, is that if you aim and use a flame weapon while taking off using the jetpack, you might light yourself on fire considering forward and upward momentum.

Why is every youtuber getting the warning about the jumppack wrong? "Flames + forward momentum" means if you use your flamethrower while flying forward - you'll set yourself on fire. Simple.

On a serious note, I've only played one mission and I can tell you where another 500 hours are about to go It's a breathe of fresh air without being too overwhelming. It hit different when I took my purifier and got hit with the reality that this new enemy truly is different with their own mixed bags of tricks I really do hope that this is an omen also for new gameplay, don't care to be a cyborg but I do think an "advanced genetic" perk system would be dope asf as a counter while bringing in new gameplay Essentially think of it like a "dna sequence expander or unblocker" keeping you human but unlocking certain lost genetic traits in our DNA that grants permenant bonuses i.e. "%5 movement speed increase", "10 percent max health or %5 health regen" "%10 damage reduction" a long list and to balance only allow a total of 3-5 out of like 30 making each helldiver more unique. We get to keep our load outs we love yet upgrade ourselves without going too far Just an idea of mine

Here's a stealth nerf that wasn't mentioned: the B-1 Supply Pack can no longer supply teammates with STIMs, only ammo + nades. It can still resupply the user with STIMs however.

When landing with the jump pack don’t hold forward down this makes you wipe out. Let the stick go to neutral and you’ll land fine.

Does anyone know how to report a bug to arrowhead for HD2? With this update, the PS5 Dolby Atmos Setting no longer plays audio when launching HD2. You have to switch Ps5 to DTX or another option other than Dolby Atmos for sound. 😢

I've noticed after the update you ragdoll a lot more with the jump pack. Before if you impacted a ledge anything below your shoulders chances are you'd vault it. Now you seem to ragdoll when you hit just about anything the isn't flat on the ground

They should add a mech resupply pack make it so you can only fully resupply a mech one time per pack and make it have a very long cooldown and you won’t be able to use any other backpack in your loadout

The vehicle is like finding a unicorn, basically damn near impossible. My friends and I put in three hours on the new biome and still haven’t seen the warthog. They should’ve just made it a stratagem or have the rate at which it’s seen increased.

I used the jump pack, and it feels terrible to use now. 75% of the time, it ragdolls my character upon landing. I always use the jump pack to cross large distances. But since the update, I get ragdolled from jumping down the perfectly flat and open street.

The illuminate are like a combination of the bots and bug. They shoot back and they will try to swam you, all at the same time! Plus luv how they didn't say nothing about this and nothing was leaked.
