Hi. wish you n your bike well. I’ve had four vfrs all been bill. Had 3 triumph all been bad. Trident 900. 1050 st. And tiger 800. Starting troubles, ebc clutch improvement finding neutral. Good luck

I also had an 87 VFR750 and a 99 VFR800... the 750 was great but I ran the poor thing into the ground as my only form of tranport all year round and commuting 40 miles a day for a few years. The 800 steered funny... must have been in an accident before I got it. Always been a VFR fan though! I'm already concerned about the plastic fuel tank on the Triumph but fingers crossed the worst of my problems!

Nice one Rikky surprised that these older models had plastic type tanks but the engine sounds great I think smaller screens can do a good job had one on my old XJR and it worked well I have noticed it since I have changed to a T120 bonnie that has nothing just how good that small puig screen was and will be putting the same one on my new bike over the winter amongst other things of course as it's part of the fun blowing our money on changing things😉. Part of me wants to try a street triple so maybe I'll try and find an older 675 for the fun of it in the future although I am a bit long in the tooth nowadays 😂 they are so light and chuckable though even the Bonnie in comparison to my old bike .😉Enjoy 👌👍

Yes I think that regarding the screens, I just have to put my big boy pants on and accept naked bikes for what they are!! When did I become such a wuss haha I would also fancy a old street triple as it's a lightweight bike with a good power to weight ratio... and again being a triple it would sound lovely! And with the winter comes fettling time and... will hopefully keep me sane till Spring. I hope you are enjoying the T120 Bonnie, what do you think of it?

@@RikkyTang I like the T120 Rikky still getting used to the physical size difference which is more strange than a problem ,it feels really light to move around .The power is a little down in the horses department but with the torque it has I don't even notice it I gave it a handful last time I was out and it surprised me how well it took off but maybe that's just me .I did try the Speed Twin which has more horses and did fly but the difference I found in comfort was totally different. The brakes were great and better but so uncomfortable I couldn't believe the difference you should give them both a go Rikky it would be very interesting to see how you find them .This is my first twin since my old K4 250 Honda pre two stroke days . I also have a V65 Honda Magna which I am trying to put back together after being in pieces for five years as well , but it's going very slowly .Apologies for rambling on a bit 😁👍

Nice bike 😎👍 I love my Daytona 955i , got a handlebar conversion kit on it though , the sound is addictive loverly , you got to do the Charlbury road on yours awesome 👌 Look up the charging modification to see if it’s been done

Nice Ricky, they are great bikes, I have a 2003 , lovely, easy to work on, Keep the battery tip top, or you will naker the sprag clutch, they are expensive.

@raymorris952 yes i hear that its an engine-out job to fix a bad sprag clutch so I'll look after that battery! It was a great little ride i had, I think I'm going to enjoy this one a lot!

@@RikkyTang no that was the previous model, the 900, it's easy to do, takes about an hour, but I had to do mine, only available from Triumph, think end of £500 quid, bloody rip-off.

My Harley XR1200 had a plastic tank and the advice was not to put ethanol fuel in it, as over time it made the tank swell up. I have always liked the Triumph triples. 😊

@chrisbarnes9260 yikes that's not good, can't get ethanol free fuel anymore, at least not easily! I'll do some more research on the triumph tanks, cheers
