Hi Ricky, I bought my r1250r when you bought yours, and havnt looked back since. You couldn't prize that bike from me, especially with tyres you recommended. It was so sad when you crashed it. Have you thought of another r1250r as I know you had lots of fun on it. . Take care and keep up the good work .

Agree the R1250R would suit. I bought mine off your videos and love it

Thanks Barry! As much as I love the R1250R, not having a decent fairing was starting to wear thin. Time for a change of style and more wind protection! The R1250RS is an option but the naked bike was already heavy and I'm trying to go any heavier at the mo....

Interesting one Rikky I would suggest the Street Triple but I guess that would for sure be to windy as I don't think they do much in the way of screen protection but a good fun bike for track and road .I am considering downsizing to one maybe even the 675 with under seat pipes or maybe the slightly less comfortable 765 subject to trying one but they are lightweight "well compared to my bike " . BMW's are nice but ouch those prices if I had £17,000 sat doing nothing not sure I could blow it all on a bike .All the best 😉👌👍

Yes I think the 765 would be a great bike, and if I was looking for a naked, then it would right near the top of the list! But I fancy a change 😊 Yes the BMW's are pricy sadly... but if you allow my to do some man-maths... 😂 In my case I've just sold my car (and recently received my first company car). Also since I can trade in/sell my KTM this means that the financial hit is more manageable... stay tuned 😉

Poor Bros. Stop treating it badly. My “spare” Hawk misses it’s real wheel at this very moment. It needs new cush damper rubbers and probably also a new brake disk. I think the disk is warped but it turned out all four bolts where loose, although this could actually be caused by the warping. I’ll check that before I really take the hub apart. Finding replacement parts is however starting to become a bit of a problem. In the mean time my Hawk special is still throwing it’s electric tantrums. That bike is cursed! Oh and by the way: They didn’t call the VFR a sports tourer for nothing. Too much of a heavy pig for this sort of stuff. Told you so! Why not try the Bros indeed! 😉

Have you thought about a BMW 900 XR? I think this maybe better for you that the S1000XR, as you don't mind a twin, you'd get your beloved extra gront as a bonus😃 . I've watched a couple of videos from 'Nothing To Prove' channel from around 2 years ago, and I see his is fully loaded with luggage, plus we know these bike can do track as BSB have a series with them, and I'm sure I heard a winner say, he literately just road it with very few tweaks. Plus by now, any quirks should be beaten out of them.

I should take the F900XR out for a test ride to be fair - the 850GS Adventure had a good turn of speed about it so I think I might end up being impressed! But on the other hand... waaannntt mooore pooowweerrr 😂😂

How about a MT09 with a touring / weekend pack

It's an interesting deliemma, for me I won't buy another bike unless it has cruise control. That's pretty much the only 'tech' I'm after assuming I'm owning the bike as opposed to PCP. I love tech, can't get enough of it but manufacturers try and do their own thing. An example of that is the BMW TFT, it acts as a USB hub meaning things like Cardo Packtalks lose functionality. Honda are sensible as they've adopted Car Play/Android Auto but their cruise control doesn't work under 30 mph/3rd gear and with all the 20 limits here I need cruise that works at 20. So that's Honda out the window from my perspecitve, at least until they sort out their cruise. I currently have a GS on PCP but the new 1300 is rather ugly so won't be upgrading to that. Not sure what to do! Tempted by a R9T as they have that lovely boxer engine & cruise control. First world problems eh?

Yes for sure the next big, modern bike I buy will have cruise control too. Sounds like we have similar dilemmas and (over)think things!! The R9T Scrambler floats my boat, but not having a fairing would be a problem because that is something I'm looking for on my next big bike.... at least it is this week until I change my mind again 😂

@@RikkyTang an issue with the R9/R12 models don’t have a fuel gauge, not sure I can cope without one 🤯

Why don't you get rid of your bike you have and put the money to one really good bike instead of keep spending money on parts?
@RikkyTang5 ай бұрын
Well that's because a) there is no Unicorn bike that can do all of the things I want it to and b) it took me 30 years to get to the point where I can finally own multiple motorbikes and have somewhere decent to keep them - I'm literally living the dream 😊
