I agree the Kaweco Premium is not significantly or in any way better than the regular Kaweco nibs. Cool FPR architect nib! Love the blue Narwahl nib! I enjoy wet nibs; and,like you, broad and double broad nibs. Yes,TWSBI nibs tend to feel weird. Over-polished maybe? IDK. Thanks for the nib-flip video!

Thank you! Now that I have used the Narwhal nib, it has calmed down a little, still a wet nib, but not “right on the edge of disaster” wet. It is growing on me!

Before writing with a new TWSBI nib (or any new nib for that matter), you might try cleaning the nib. A lot of times manufacturers will coat the nibs in an oil as a protectant against corrosion or oxidation while it sits. It is the same for dip pens as well, so if you have a problem with a particular nib because you feel like it is coated with something, it may be.

100% agree. I do clean nibs before I use them, i just didn’t include that in the video because it was getting long. I probably should have mentioned it though! Thank you for the information!

I think the Kaweco Sport (plastic) does not have a screw in nib unit, so friction fit is required. Other Kaweco’s, I think, have screw in units. My Jinhao X450 and X750 pens rarely dry out. Good luck with yours. I need to get a FPR architect nib to try, thanks for the video.

I strongly dislike nahvalur nibs. I just switched them with jowo nibs.

I can see that. The nib I got is a firehose, but I hadn’t tried them yet, so I wanted to give them a shot. At least they are easy enough to change!
