Kinda like a Pontiac version of an evil Grand National 😅, with bigger testicles 😮, what does the Corvair/S10 combo weigh if you don't mind me asking? If you know for sure, without the drivetrain I mean 🤔

Kudos to you for hanging in and the beginner’s luck you had. Good job young man. Also kudos for the clean up in the garage as that’s part of every job

I discovered the easiest way to drop a front wheel drive or mid-engine drivetrain is to use a car lift or scissor lift and a Harbor Freight hydraulic lift cart.. This made removing my Fiero engine cradle a breeze.Using the lift cart you have it at maximum height under the cradle. Once everything is loos the cart now supports everything. Lift the car off the cradle while also lowering the cart tabler, Once clear just roll it out. I have a portable succor lift I paid $1800 for used.that can lift up to 6000lbs at 52 inches high.

Well the sweet spot is using the supercharged 3800 engine and adapting on a turbo instead of driving the huge air pump with big parasitic loses, they easily hold 500 horse at lower boost levels and are more efficient. And...well you already have a turbo and most of the controls do not need to change, cause it's already a boosted engine.

1995 s10 2.2L 5 speed transmission. For now. Until I bump up the power then I will need to find a stronger trans. And no, it will only be 2wd. But a 4wd SC 3800 would be awesome!

Could you have rigged the engine hoist to pull up under the bumper to raise the car higher?
@photondebuger45 Жыл бұрын
I feel like (and it's mostly like if you were to stick the engine into the s-10 body again) the V6 is right for that truck frame. Mostly because the LS builds or the other V8 builds theres no room. Absolutely no room like pretty much needed to do a water pump is hell no room. Like the fan on many have to be on the front of the radiator not the inside. The truck already came with a V6 option buuuuuuut..... Not the bullet proof 3800 supercharged V6....at least that way the front of the engine is accessible for what it is. The strange part is the intake and throttle being where it's at so hmmmmmm........

@ifabstuff601310 ай бұрын

@trentmulford98328 ай бұрын
This engine is based off a 1950s Buick V8 that they ended up in the 60s lobbing two cylinders off of and then killed it for a short time brought it back in the 80s because they had sold the design to jeep bought the design back in the 80s and started producing the 3800 that was in the grand nationalBuick regal which had a small block transmission, Bell, housing bolt pattern and 91 to 95. Still maintain that small block bolt pattern until later down the line they converted the rear wheel drives to having the same bolt pattern as the front wheel drive.
