Swapping capacitors on a galaxy box fan.

I did the exact same thing where I put a 4uF capacitor onto a 6uF weathershield motor and that slowed it down enough to be reasonable but spins as fast as a lakewood 101A.

Man those Lasko box fans are just cheap junk it would have been nice to grow up in the era where things were built with quality. The Lasko switches do suck, interesting idea with the capacitor although all that’s gonna do by putting a lower one in that it calls for is really slow down the speed and eventually burn out the motor
