Swarmblade Druid Crit Lance Set, Last Epoch Build Guide Patch 8.4, Finally got Swarmblade to Work

EDIT 12/12/21 : Blinding Poison does not blind. I am missing 75% more damage in this video. Swap to an Ice Sceptre with Blind chance % until they fix this bug. The planner has been updated accordingly. Edit 12/15/21 : Blinding Poison is blinding. The problem is Blind and Blinding Poison both stack, meaning you get 2 seperate instances of the 75% more damage. So this video is 100% correct, and this above is wrong. Completely ignore me. Blind will give you extra damage for now but its going to be fixed eventually. Sorry about all the confusion.

Great minds think alike. I went for a similar route, but I dropped the wolf and chose the Spriggan pet instead. In case you havent noticed, it got reworked and the pet can passively give you +8% base crit chance and crit avoidance. Which means you dont have to invest into Needle-Like Sting. This will free you around 3 points inside the Swarmblade. PS: Amarathy had the same issue with his Volibear which desperately needed crit, then I told him about Spriggan aura :)

But wolf is +50% damage + haste, right? Maybe that outweights the crit chance and crit avoidance?

Just FYI the blinding poision node on serpent strike seems to not be working. So with no other options for blind in your build you losing out on that 75% multi. Im very certain of this, just did some testing on it for a build im working on. Have posted bug report on the forum.

You mention Swarmblade build is all about cold damage. How do you get Armblade Slash to do cold damage instead of physical? New to the game so I may be missing something obvious I’m not sure.

The swords have melee cold flat on them.

Nice Build, i do got one question: You run around with 1 wolf only, so why not spend 1 point to limit your companion to 1 and have it more life / dmg etc?

It's hard to get passives. It's so strained with these builds

Another two question if you don´t mind: a.) Why not invest 1 point in Serpent Strike to gain a Primal Serpent so we get another Minion (without a minion ability) ? I took it from the Dodge node. b.) Iron Clad Beetle, simply why? I have currently 12% dodge and that gives me only 3% armour atm(lvl 78). But i assume that will pay out later on a larger scale?

hey, hows this build compare to other current swarmblade builds? i lostmy character somehow during a crash and never got to really push this build to the late late game and im wondering what would be a good option for multiplayer launch

I wouldn't play this build, there has been a lot of changes and I would have to rework the entire build!

How are you placing your thorn totem to gain the buff provided or are you just using the larva totem?

I dont understand what is allowing tornado to give rage back. I only know of the node thats rage on kill and rage on unique hit. Can you explain the mechanism and where its from?

so if the tornado crits it will give rage back, since we have the lightning node. On the top of Druid you get 2 rage back on crit

@@Dr3adful Was this changed? Cause currently its only 4 rage on kill or rare / boss enemies. The rage on crit node is to the right of Needle-Like Sting. Also what is the point of the mana regen on the Tornado? Not sure if that was changed since the build was made either but wouldn't having the lightning proc more often be better overall?

why are you skipping all the stat notes in the tree. you are begging for % damage, all the Abilities have baked in scaling with stats. In the Primalist tree you are getting +60 hp and 30% hp for you pet, where if you go Natural Attunement you are going to get 8x4 (32% damage) to all your abilities. I'm at only 49str and 56 attune and the scaling on my Armblade Slash is 196% and 224% where you have a wolf that live slightly longer.

Because when geared correctly you have well over 1200% increased damage thanks to the fractured lance set.
