Ruby Føx Diamonds don't break unless under some serious pressure or special tools are used to shape them. For a diamond to break without the aforementioned tools/circumstances, then it'll chip due to a weak point -usually a low end diamond. Regardless, these are crystals. And though crystals are more prone to wear and tear, I've handled some of my Swarovski crystals fairly roughly and it's never broken or chipped on me before.

Just an FYI but bouncing crystals around in glass and jostling them around in the box only scratches and chips crystals. They are rather delicate with all the sharp edges. That is why Swarovski packages them in boxes with individual sections for each bead and/or pendant. As a bead store owner, I know of which I speak. They are beautiful though.

I can get small packets of Swarovski crystals and beads at local craft stores, but they're so expensive! I save up for them and only use them for the most swanky of crafts :) I can't imagine how much that haul must have cost.

Renee Cai They were quite reasonable, this whole box cost about $40 and there is enough for lots of projects. Though unfortunately I don't think they sell these anymore, and almost all the Swarovski crafting supplies can only be ordered online now :(

Yep, they're not real 'precious stones' like diamonds or cubic zirconia. I think they're glass crystals polished using a special technique so they look just as sparkly diamonds but are much cheaper to buy :)

I just bought 288 square purple swarovski Crystal beads from eBay and they came in the manufacturer box and I want to put them so I can look at them.
