Swartkops river producing the goods

today we decided to go to the river with the kids to see if we can get them onto a few fish. i would say it was a success. the morning started off slow but by the end of the day we got some smiles on everybody faces .

Awesome catches man. If this was recorded this past Sunday at Swartkops, I'm sure I saw you on your boat. My dad and I caught just off the side to the right from the entrance of the Angling Club over there. How's it going. Swartkops is a still my favorite river to fish. Yes it was on sunday. We're you doing alot of net throwing? If so I saw you guys there. I still said to my brother in law you guys are probably trying to get some swimming prawns.

Yes, we were! We caught a nice 80cm Garrick on a stompie as live bait on the same spot as your daughter and a 70cm grunter early in the morning on the same spot. Next time, if I see you guys out on the water I'll give a whistle 😂😂

Be honest, Swartkops is dying.! These fish are fish that come in from the ocean. The river is to overfished, over polluted, over dug, no bag limits on fish or bait. Its been getting worse and worse over the last few years.
