Alexander defeated King Porus with minor losses on his side . King Porus lost the battle and two of his sons died . Porus fought bravely and chose to surrender late after Alexander promised to treat King Porus and his people fairly . If Porus won the war, then atleast 10 Indian scriptures or rock edicts would have mentioned it . King Porus is not mentioned in any Indian historical records and all of his existence records come from Greek and Roman historians.
