I can guarantee you that he didn’t care if he killed him or not. Officers are trained to fire at center mass until the dangerous threat is eliminated. Meaning they fall to the ground and no long have the firearm or knife or whatever. It had nothing to do with not trying to kill him. The second he started popping off rounds with that bulpup shotgun the swat officers job is to eliminate the threat. If the suspect dies st that point then he dies due to being a danger to everybody else in that area. Not that they go into it looking to kill somebody. They obviously don’t which is why they were using tear gas. But the moment he fired at the swat officers it was only about eliminating the threat. Whatever happens happens
@jaykirizz2195 ай бұрын
I know someone personally that is a dispatcher, and I understand that the job is extremely draining and can absolutely take a toll on your mental health. That being said, if it’s at that point to where you are acting like this first dispatcher is (any job for that matter) then you need to find a new job. When you interact with people for a living, part of your job is to act like you care and to put a face on for the people you are serving. When peoples lives are in danger , the very least you can do is at least sound like you’re taking your job seriously when you’re the one responsible for relaying all the information to the officers who will soon arrive on the scene. Not to mention it would help if you were a little reassuring and trying to deescalate. Acting like you could care less could lead to a much worse outcome if a victim starts to panic because they don’t believe the dispatcher is taking them seriously. it’s already frustrating enough when you need urgent police presence and are being asked 5000 questions from the dispatcher. Even more frustrating when they don’t sound interested in saving your life at all. SMH 🤦♂️ this was RIDICULOUS

What skill? The suspect was sticking a pump action shotgun out a doorway and blind firing around the corner towards where he could here the cops shouting... There was no skill it was luck and common sense. Unfortunately, the officers made a critical mistake. After he was hit the first time, they should have immediately changed position. You have no view of the suspect, he knows you're there and he's already hit you once. Zero reason to stay there. Back-up and hold the corner angle of the house, or move left and use the vehicle to hold a view of the doorway. Staying there made him a sitting duck.
