I had a 1991 model ,it was black and orange colour in side.I wish I still had that watch 😥I am 48 now,I was 17 years of age in 1991.I saw my watch in (Baywatch TV show )in 1989 to 1995

I enjoyed buying and wearing vintage Swatches, especially the SCUBA 200. Even if I got them sealed in the original packaging the plastic is all deteriorated. It might look good but wearing it the first time the strap and buckle fall apart. I will often wear them with new reproduction straps.

Yes, that is the sad thing about plastic Swatch watches. The Swatch Irony is much better.

Providing they employ properly designed and fabricated captive O-rings and O-ring groves for seals, and the O-rings are in working condition, they should easily be water-resistant to 200m. I have spent a lifetime in the field of Oceanography. I have designed, fabricated and deployed many subsea system enclosures. The greater the depth and pressure, the better O-rings seal. The screw down crown is added security to prevent crowns from being inadvertently pulled out under water.

Thank you for the awesome answer. We have seen that water resistant watches are not suitable to diving compared to waterproof watches, which usually are diver watches.

I have a swatch scuba 200 but I couldn't see it in this video, it has many colors on it and there is a blue octopus on the dial.

I don't know about anyone else around here, but I WEAR my watches. Just not collect them and look at them. I had a Swatch Irony1995 aluminum watch that lasted for years. Now, I have a second Swatch Scuba that I can't wait to get in the mail. That's all folks. Keep Swatching!

Yeah to each is own. I personally like the way they look. I could care less about investment or resale value. Now I wouldn’t buy 200 of them, But I will buy the ones that I think match my outfits/style.
