Swatching Birmingham Pen Co fountain pen inks Part 1

Good morning everyone,
Thank you for stopping by.
Very fortunate to have received these inks from pen friend Priscilla the other day.
Some of you may already be aware that you can mix Birmingham Pen Co inks and come up with your own colours, quite amazing!
Today though I am going to swatch the ink colours as they have been sent to me and I will do some ink formulations in future videos.

I heard a mower, but tuned it out. When you mentioned it I paused your video and still heard the mower 😂. It is 8:25 p.m. CT Texas time. Enjoying your swatches. It reminds me of our recent totality solar eclipse with the varying shapes.

I never noticed the mower until you mentioned it (I am so USED to having one running around here 🤨) I love the last 2 inks & sterling silver . Look forward to your mixing videos x

Hi Jayne, I’m always mixing my diamine inks & sometimes if I don’t like the ink in a pen I will dump it out into a ink sample bottle & come up with all sorts of combinations & if I’m lazy too clean a pen out & i re ink that gives me an idea of a colour combination 🧩🖋️

Love it! I must admit, at times I have been too lazy to clean a pen and reinked it with something different and love watching the colour change 😊 Have a wonderful week lovely 🥰

I have not inked any of these up. I bought them specifically for mixing. Except the Emerald Fusion. I plan on inking that up in May. I've mixed several colors already. The Mountain thistle is inked up this month. I have mixed Rosewood twinkle in several of my own concoctions to add shimmer. It wrote beautiful in my TWSBI 1.1 stub. Oh you can mix these with any BPC inks as well as others. I just made a dusty pinky brown using BPC and Colorverse. So many options. I'm excited for you to play with these.

I can't tell you how excited I am about these Priscilla :) Dying to start mixing and inking! I'm going to look up their website and see what else I can come up with including the previous BPC ink samples you sent me. Quite literally I know I could makes hundred's of different coloured inks with these which is amazing. Thank you again my friend, I am so grateful 💚

oooh you lucky duck I've been wanting to BPC inks for the longest time 😀 and no I've never tried mixing to create a new colour only using a darker ink with a lighter ink to get it to be legible... I'm the same, always someone with a leaf blower when I video... 🤣

I think the mower noise is more distracting for you than your viewers. I heard something faintly in the background, that's all. I am looking forward to see which inks you will mix up and whether you'll get some unusual colours! 😮😊
