My husband got covid in 2020 working as an ambulance driver so he got it early and badly. No vaccines. I got it too but not as bad he was hospitalised with breathing problems. He has never recovered so he has long covid permane ntly. It is not a joke - you understand the fear. Helen

Ugh--that is terrible. A lot of people are being left in the dust in the whole "everything is back to normal" phase.

@@MysteryArts indeed he was forgotten his company - considering they caused the problems as he told them he already has health issues he didn't want to deal with covid patients he was toldhe had to! now he struggles with exhaustion and dizziness but they reply he must pick up the pace! He is one of the forgotten thousands sadly.

@@peteinuk I'm so sorry that happened. The one and only time we've gotten Covid was because my husband's work made him travel for a meeting. We both still have tiredness and coughing several months out. And I've started getting really dizzy every time I get up. Still, it could be a lot worse as your situation illustrates.

@@MysteryArts he was lucky he survived and wasn't incubated - many young people in the ward were not so lucky. Many young healthy people died of covid. I am so mad when people joke that covid wasn't that bad - they didn't get it so why did you? It's only the old or the frail - no! Or people say vaccines are bad - we got ours thsnkfully!
