robot uprising in sweden? ikea must have developed an even greater hunger for world domination...

Gen Zero's a blast to play. The developers did really well in making the player feel isolated, even in multiplayer. The entire atmosphere makes one feel like you were just barely too late to save lives. The blood is fresh, the flames of battle are still flickering. It's angering and tragic in the same breath. I'm playing the game in it's base Swedish with English subtitles. As a typically unilingual American, it makes the isolation feel even tighter. I can just imagine some American tourist caught up in the hell of a robot apocalypse, speaking broken language with locals, each trying to help and save who they can.

Tbh my biggest gripe IS how void of life the game feels. Talk of a resistance, but where are the people? Military? They got clapped but surely there's still scattered remnants.

With how many destroyed stridvagn 103's there are on the whole island chain, youd think scattered surviving units would get back to one of the command bunkers somewhere and fortify it eventually and only sending out tiny groups of scavengers at a time yet we come across so many destroyed armored units in game... it doesnt make any sense how all these skilled troops lost

@@dj11o9er the only bad example is the small tank platoon/company that got caught out of position in a farmers field near a small hill covered in destroyed trees, I assume there was atleast 80% or more losses to said unit

@THEROOKIE6666 Yeah, plenty of times you can actually stumble upon somewhat proper battle lines on the Swedish side that the bots themselves had to charge into. Trenches and all. Was neat to look at, tbh...

Gen 0 is really fun, i recommend playing it solo for the first 10 hours or so (atleast) because its an experience learning it that way along and unassisted by any guides or such. Imo aside from endgame failing a bit at it (and some of the new updates adding an extra faction that throws stuff off early on) this game makes you fight like a guerrila for early and mid game, its almost a survival horror and its lighting especially at night really helps with that , its a game that will visually stand the test of time for years to come. Even late game tho unless you got the legendaries the machines can easily turn the tables on you
