Very enjoyable ride Chris; your presentation was well laid out. You had me feeling like I was riding in the car with you. A very fine job on this.

How long did it take you from Uddevala Bridge (point A) and Svinesund Bridge (point B)? This ride from Sweden to Norway is one of the best videos ever from this channel! That "refuelling before reaching expensive Norway" is one of the highest points of the video ... And I feel thrilled when you're getting to the toll bridge and then ... "Welcome to Norway"! Because of your rides through Norway, my wife and I have become addicted to this marvellous country! You pick amazing songs as well, and these videos are captivating indeed!

I always figured that it would be nice if they decided around Europe to use ONE colour for motorway signs: either blue or green. But then the Swedes put BOTH. Right...
@mikkoh52135 жыл бұрын
Sweden uses green background in motorway signs and blue in other highway signs. And then white in local signs and yellow in small private roads

Same as in Switzerland.

Those are cable barriers ?. In my country are very rare, almost only used in old bridges because they are lighter. They are common there?
@mikkoh52138 жыл бұрын
Few years back 80% of Swedish motorways on rural areas had cable barrier, and almost all of 2+1 lane roads (three lane roads with overtake lane for one direction for every few km) had cable barriers. So, I'll guess that's common :D
@fikrinoh11357 жыл бұрын
My country has it too, but rare. It can be found mostly on Federal Route 194 (K. Perlis-Changlun Highway).
@MrNicetux5 жыл бұрын
@@mikkoh5213 you will find such cable barriers on roads in poland too at the same system (2 + 1 lane), for example between Płock and Gostynin.

Still thinking that 110 km/h is too slow... Those Nordic countries have the strictest limits in Europe. Hopefully Sweden raised the limit to 120 on some parts... Thanks, great video

Jules Koch sweden have roads with 120 km/h limit. But the "normal" speed for peapol driving is around 130-135 km/h on high ways.

Instantly when you enter Norway, you're being ripped off. One of the wealthiest countries in Europe and they're charging you to use the roads, which are paid by the taxpayer.
@SeverityOne5 жыл бұрын
Why do you think they got so wealthy? ;)
@Andreas46965 жыл бұрын
This bridge is actually tolled on both the Swedish and the Norwegian side, because both countries paid for the bridge. However, I do agree that the toll roads in Norway are egregious.

In other countries yes but Forests is the opposite of wasted, wasted is what humans do with the natural land, destroying it for farming is probably the worst crime and waste of the land. If you said that about Germany it would be true but not Sweden. Only 5% is jused for farming and the rest 95% of sweden is mostly forests and a bit of mountains.
