Sweden’s Beautiful Marstrand Island | Ep. 158

Sailing in Gothenburg’s archipelago make you understand why the Swedes call their island groups ‘rock gardens’! We weave our way through islets and buoyed channels as we approach Marstrand from the west and what a scenic trip this is.
The Marstrand harbor is incredibly busy and some of the best entertainment is sitting in the cockpit to take it all in. However, Marstrand has so much to offer with the hilltop fortress, the beautiful architecture and the cute waterfrong shops. A quick ferry ride across the harbor brings you to a huge network of wonderful hiking trails. We’re so happy we took the extra day here to really soak in all that Marstrand had to show us.
Join us next time as we continue exploring this beautiful archipelago as we pass through Kyrkesund, tie off to a granite rock then make our way further north!

The small craft you though was the swedish navy is Swedish marines assault craft Combat boat 90.
