Fun fact: The posh houses in this area is actually the reminiscence of old movie star houses. Nearby Filmstudios “Filmstaden” in Råsunda 5 min up the hill to the left, is where all the major Swedish movies were shot in the 1920’s up until the 70’s maybe. These grand villas used to be the homes of Greta Garbo, Ingrid Bergman and so on ,when on set. Several Ingmar Bergman movies were shot at Råsunda Filmstudios.

Another city. Another urban landscape which leaves its impression upon you no longer than 10 mins after viewing it. But I do like the friendly style of this video's creator and his nonchalance as well as the immaculately spotless clean streets of Stockholm shown by him. This city has undoubtedly its own charm and grace. Besides, being an armchair traveller due to Miss Evil Corona and my wonderful age - my two anathemas - voyeuristic pleasures ,even if evanescent , is the only thing left for us. Ohh...and the greyish hovering sky above ..... an encompassing dome which leaves no sun- beam the chance to intrude ....doesn't it make you feel dejected or even depressed? A compensation for it must be friendly, congenial and gregarious people to pass the evenings with, ah ? But I heard the Swedes are a sort of floating icebergs ( or at least floes) in this regard ..and I even experiened two or three occasions in which , after stumbling upon them , they proved not only to be not so nice, but induced hypothermia to the ones in their close proximity. Thanks anyway to the video shown. I will continue to watch the other ones in this series when lying in bed with my blanket drawn up to my chin.
