Tobasco is a type of chile pepper. Cayenne pepper is another chile pepper. They have different flavors. Mashed potatoes are a traditionally a side dish, not put on a hotdog. That being said, why not eat it with the hotdog? If you have seen the "day after Thanksgiving sandwiches", they look like a "hey, it's in the refrigerator, put it on the sandwich"... at my house, it is called "everything but the kitchen sink sandwich".

First off-The haters can pound sand!! Secondly-Recky you do an outstanding job! You ARE learning how to cook and Carol encourages you and helps with hints of what needs to be done next. All we see is you improving every time! So what if you are clumsy....theres alot of us who are clumsy too! Carol on cake mixes you can put fruit on the cake & use whipped cream for frosting. It's delicious! Or make your own frosting with powdered sugar, vanilla, melted butter and maybe a teaspoon milk or cream. If you want chocolate frosting you add powdered cocoa (start with a tablespoon then taste till you get how chocolatey you want) to the other frosting ingredients. I always enjoy watching your unboxings-you both are such a JOY!!

Please don't pay attention to the haters, they hate themselves so they want to spread that around. The rest of love to see what you cook and don't find it disgusting at all! You can also put pudding on top of the cake, poke holes in the cake with a wooden spoon and I'd use chocolate pudding but pour it evenly over the cake and you then have a pudding cake!

My mother used to make "stuffed" hot dogs. She'd slice them lengthwise, put in mashed potato and top them with cheddar cheese. Sometimes she'd wrap a slice of bacon around them, then bake them. Now my son, in his thirty's, likes to make them. It was quite popular in the 60's.

Y'all shouldn't have to listen to the haters' comments. I think it's cool y'all call the Statue of Liberty the Liberty Goddess. Plus it's true about the whole mashed potato thing on the hot dogs that it was a surprise to a lot of us but kinda inspired me to try it. Heck we have tater tots with our hot dogs sometimes. Loved the reaction y'all had with the Christmas Crack. Now I know I can make some Kentucky Bourbon Balls and some of my own Almond Joy Rum Balls. I am going to modify a recipe I have here that calls for pecans in the crust and try either almonds or cashews, due to your nut allergy. Things like this inspires me to try new things with my baking recipes.

The vanilla candy coating is sometimes labeled as white candy bark, white candy melts, it is basically white chocolate that you can melt down into a candy coating or a mix in like the candy Melissa made for you. Don't worry about the haters with the mashed potatoes on your hotdogs. Some people here put French fries on their hot dogs or hamburgers. There's a place in Pittsburg that puts them on their sandwiches! There are many who put left over mashed potatoes and bread stuffing from Thanksgiving on their turkey sandwiches! No one should complain on how any one eats!

Frosting (icing) is really super easy to make. You need softened butter, icing sugar, milk, whatever flavoring you want, and a mixer. Cream the butter, add icing sugar until it’s quite stiff and incorporated, add flavoring, and just enough milk to make it soft (add slowly - it can be overdone easily). In the US, you can buy it in cans, but I never have. Maybe someone will just send you some! I loved to watch you make Swedish dishes, btw. I can’t image who would be rude enough to complain about your lovely food.

Something my husband and I do is mix some mayonnaise and Frank's together to make a dipping sauce for French fries, fried chicken strips, etcetera. Love your videos! Sadly the cake mixes do not include the icing 😢 look in the cookbooks you have for an icing or glaze they are easy to mix up. The fastest is 1-2 cups powdered sugar a teaspoon of vanilla and some milk just a little start with tablespoon and add as needed if it’s too thin add more powdered sugar you can’t mess it up. If you want chocolate ganache heat a cup or 2 of milk in microwave and pour over bag of chocolate chips mix until chips melted then pour over cake. ❤❤❤❤

You can make Buffalo wings with hot sauce. I heard of mashed of potatoes on hot dogs before from a co-worker her boyfriend made it a lot. He would have bread on the bottom then sliced hot dogs on top of it cover it with mash potatoes and cheese on top of that then bake it in the oven. With the no bake cheesecake and the chocolate cake you can slice some berries add a couple tablespoons of sugar and let it sit for a few hours then have it with most desserts.

Frank’s Hot Sauce is the preferred hot sauce for Buffalo Chicken Wings. Mixed with melted butter, it gives the kick to wings. More butter = milder wings; more hot sauce =hotter wings. Also, just keep blocking the trolls and haters, most people are here because we enjoy your content and you!

"hot sauce" as it is in the US is really more of a condiment category than reference to one particular brand or style of sauce. It could be made from habanero, tobasco, cayenne, etc. And, honestly, it can come from any region of the world. Latin America, Asia, South America, wherever you find hot peppers grown usually makes nice hot sauce. I prefer Thai chilli sauce myself, but my brother in law likes Tajin and Tobasco sauces.

White cheddar and yellow/orange cheddar are the same thing. The only difference is the annatto food coloring added to make it yellow/orange. If the cheese is the same age, you will taste no difference between the two.

Hot Dog Charlie’s was established in 1922 in Troy and has 3 local stores only. They serve 3 inch hot dogs on a buns yellow mustard, chopped white onion, and the meat sauce. Unfortunately the oldest restaurant burnt down the day of this video.

America is has been called a "Melting Pot" for a reason. Since before the USA became the USA people with their own language, beliefs, recipes and preferences. They landed, met people from other places. Traded recipes between each other. And changed them to fit what they had in their home. As the country grew and spread so did the recipes. We used what we had. From a country that has been known as adaptable we should not be telling people to not try things and adapt it for their pantry and tastes. No, they are made using two different hot peppers. Frank’s is made using cayenne peppers and has a slightly sweet taste to the finish. Tabasco sauce is made with tabasco peppers, a lot of people love it but I think it has a slightly metallic after taste to it. There are a lot of different hot sauces made from a wide variety of “hot” peppers.

The way Carol gets all the food to herself: Just tell Recky it has pecans or hazelnuts in it. It's not like he's going to read it anyway. *Recky tries cappuccino* Recky: "I can see air!" *Waits 5 seconds* "I want to bounce off the ceiling!" When kids have been bad and the parents say, "You're getting a lump of coal for Christmas".... Now they actually invented edible coal. I believe it also has rice in it too, but the rice is cooked in the same way they do for Rice Krispy Treats and Crunch bars. This is why they remind me so much of Crunch. You can ONLY get Chocolate Coal around the holidays and I'm not sure if it is found in multiple stores or not. It might be something you can only get in Dollar General stores.

I have lived in Troy and Albany. LOL I currently live in Saratoga Springs area. I drove past the Saratoga Sweets store twice today. The Saratoga race track is one of the things that Saratoga is known for, along with amazing Mineral Springs and historical involvement in the American Revolution. George Washington was here. The motto is Horses Health and History. RPI is a prestigious Technical University in Troy New York. Mini world leaders have graduated from RPI. I grew up eating the original Charlie's Hot Dogs also in Troy New York.

When my stepdad and I cook, we both cook things on the mild side because my mom doesn’t like spicy food. We use hot sauce to add spice to our individual servings. Things like chili, gumbo, jambalaya, stews or soups, casseroles… The list of what we add hot sauce to is endless. The variety of hot sauces here is amazing. I think I have 7-8 different ones in my house at the moment. The basics are Franks and Tabasco, the others are specialty ones that I buy or am gifted. All good, just different. There is easy ways to make icing even if it’s powdered sugar with water (replace with lemon, vanilla, raspberry. Ect) or melting chocolate.. you can google it, yes of course buy. I wanted your last cake video. Didn’t comment, no icing. lol I already cried over no butter muffins so I left it alone. The basic powdered sugar water or flavor is nice to know when in a pinch. It’s good even over plain chocolate cake mix. I enjoy your videos guys 🎉

Pepermint pigs are usually colored whit chocolate. She go it, it will come of as scrambled eggs and hash brown potatoes ant it will go great with Frank's hot sauce.
