Funny how in 2016 not many people get the joke. The intellectual level was much higher back then than modern comics (and audiences). This is a brilliant sketch using the Swedish accent as a play on the word aerosol and arsehole. Just genius stuff.
@LyingSecret9 жыл бұрын
+Simon Finch Yeah trust me there were people the last few years not getting this joke, sadly. I think it was a different upload of much the same videos but it was full of people needing a simple throw away joke explained to them.

+LyingSecret And once explained, getting all uppity because it's not PC.
@LyingSecret9 жыл бұрын
Simon Finch Oddly enough I think swearing on TV is one of the few things that has become more accepted, if you mean this sketch specifically then the language used is pretty tame by todays standards. Though most of the sketches in this programme to do with race for example were more about poking fun at racists rather than at the race themselves, although you do find people can't seem to understand the difference in recent years. The 'removed from TV showings' scene from Fawlty Towers about the Major going to The Oval is a prime example of that.

What if we're just learning english as a 2nd language? No ESL textbooks would dare teach the word arsehole

But this isn't mocking the Swedish, they just needed *some* kind of accent to have an excuse for 'aerosol' and 'arousal' sounding nearly the same.
