I love that you said that ... The forest never judges me. I lived deep in the woods in the Pacific Northwest for 7 years with the river running just outside my room. Melted snow in winter due to frozen pipes and ran the wood stove for heat. I love your documentary, it makes me long for that peace you speak of and I know is real.

I too live in the Pacific Northwest in the middle of the forest. We have snow at this point in February you've lived here you know that that's not unusual but we've had it for like almost 2 weeks straight. It's cold it's wet it's beautiful. It's too bad that all our world can't see the beauty around them not worry about what you have. It took me awhile to understand that possessions are not what makes you happy it's what God-given beauty is and the people around you give you through love.

Honestly. I cried.I'm glad that she lives the life she wanted so much. She found her happiness inspiration. This is the main thing. A family. House. Garden. Photography and video. Painting. The blog. This is all so interesting and not so simple.Yes, this is not the same “ordinary” work that we are used to. For example, I work as an ordinary seller for little money. I work as a clothing seller and every day I see only a gray city and gray people.I do not see beautiful sunrises and bewitching sunsets. She sees. And I'm glad that I can see what she sees through her video.I just want to say thanks. Thank you for such important words that she spoke at the stones. We must be who we are. Our soul is the main thing.I just hope that someday we will all be as happy as Jonna Jinton/

@@coffeetime3293 ---Very true. Even Jonna uses things in her country home that are made in cities and factories, her camera and computer, and cities and factories use things produced in the country, wood and metal. Some cities are boring, some are interesting. the same can be true of the countryside. A lot of it is what humans make it.

I would not be so arrogant regarding normal job - job of a doctor, an engineer, a teacher, etc. Our civilization has been built by Normal Jobs. Her camera has been manufactured by normal job guys, as well as your mobile and this internet we are in. And I am sure this girl understands such things and she is simply taking her way, because all these tools, they have been designed for her to be able to film, actually

@@coffeetime3293 100% true, the ones doing the dirty work, the builders, the engineers and scientists are the ones who deserve admiration and appreciation. You misunderstand me though, what I meant was that most people slave away in today’s western world wasting their lives in cubicles not doing right by their people but so some billionaire can buy an island and a yacht, and continue to exploit cheap labor. I'm always so glad to watch your videos cause sometimes I feel so weak and overwhelmed from everything my life is so cruel and hard and there is so much trouble I got narcistic parents and my brother is narcistic as well. Only family is my father his elder sisters died and he is suffering from dementia now. And I'm completely alone with it. No one is helping me. I don't know how to handle it because sometimes he don't trust me and I feel so lonely and helpless sometimes. There is professional help but all of them are strangers. I feel so weak and homeless but I have to be strong but I cannot. I'm just desperate and in fear of what will happen.

I never internalized the societal expectations around me, but it still affected me because I didn't know what else there was, and I wasn't actively refusing it(knowing otherwise). My clothing choices, the way I look, what i want to become, how I behave, and how I 'should' think are all things I'm overcoming. Like being able to dance freely in public, thinking the way I want to think when I'm in a conversation, not feeling like I'll be judged when people see me in whatever weird clothes I want to wear. Letting go of that, and learning what I want.

I just adore Jonna for dancing to the beat of her own drum. She’s unapologetically her beautiful self. She needs not makeup or fancy clothes to be beautiful. She sings like an angel and lives like Jesus lived. I’ve never seen anyone like her and I find her fascinating. Her joy for life is contagious and she’s an inspiration to so many to follow their dreams no matter what anyone thinks. While she lives a seemingly simple life it’s actually truly complex and fulfilling. I am forever intrigued by this amazing woman and her life with her family in the north of Sweden. I still haven’t seen all of her videos but it won’t be long before I do because I’m watching them in every spare minute like a good book you don’t want to put down. You just wanna keep reading even though you have so much to do. This morning I watched the one of Jonna n her fabulous husband in Yosemite here in the states. These videos have been blessing to start my day with such a beautiful soul. I take care of my Mom who’s living with Alzheimer’s. She too is fascinated with Jonna. It’s a really calming for her. I’m grateful that she can still see the beauty in things. She especially loves Jonna’s singing. It’s soothing and mystical. 🌞🎼✨🌎

I understand you so very well. I want to move to South Africa and help raising and saving wild life. But I now, have to and expected to, to get a real job, and...here where I often think: "and then what?". And I do not know the answer. While if I ask the myself the same question regarding my wish to move to SA and save wild life, my answer is always ready: "and then I would be utterly, just utterly, simply HAPPY". Stories of people's lives huh.. =) P.S. ...am Russian 30+ girl living in Sweden.

it is also my dream to live in a village with dogs and animals, cows, goats and chickens. now i live in Berlin and i dont feel good too. sometimes i am angry about Berlin and i dont like it and when i go in streets which are always croweded i feel like i am in danger or something. i dont like to be around ppl any more. so maybe one day when i manage hopefully to buy a small house in the remoted village of Georgia ( a small country on the border of asia and europe) i ll move out to ciry and live life as i always wanted to. i dont want to buy groceries i want to pick them up from my own garden.

Hi Phoenix, I was just causally strolling through these comments, I love Jonna and her way of life. And then I saw you said you wanted to move to my tiny country and I got so happy. I am currently in the village myself in our beautiful little country, and sometimes i truly take it to granted like this morning how i casually biked to a wood even yet discovered cuz theres so much nature here. I am graduating school this year and after my gap year I am moving to Berlin. So if you do manage to move here, in a way we’ll be switching our living places. It was nice hearing from someone that appreciates my little country and understands me in why I love it so much beeing outside the city. Not a lot pf people my age love mother earth’s nature this much. Anyways if you have any questions, you have a local friend here. Btw are you german?

I am moving to Norway because of that exact reason! In 2024 after my study. I will be 22 by then. Now I am 19 and living in The Netherlands, it is WAY too crowded here for me and Norway has everything I desire.
