Italy has the only real upper level Song this year. A lot of noises songs, meaningless ones as well...luckily Italy saved the pot. Winner.

You are completely right ! Usually at Eurovision we only see shows, with stupid songs, without any meaning. Italy instead combines meaningful lyrics with beautiful melodies. This is also due to the fact that the songs that come to Sanremo, are more authentic. They are made for the Sanremo festival, for Italy and not with Eurovision in mind, as many nations do where they organize special singing events to choose the singer, the song to send to Eurovision.

".........if Italy wants to win they have to do something more like the people will vote for it..............." on the subject, I can't imagine a more stupid sentence than this. 99% of the Eurovision music, at the Sanremo Festival, would not be admitted, VERY POOR QUALITY. 95% of Eurovision winners have remained perfect unknown. Maneskin, Abba, Céline Dion are exceptions, in the mediocrity of Eurovision.
