You consistently show kindness to all the people you meet, and it's come right back at you. This series is better than anything you can see on TV. 560.000 subscribers can't be wrong. Noraly writes "I am so lucky!" No, Ms. Noraly, what you receive is merely a return of the grace that you routinely exhibit. So happy that you could have this experience. I hope you weren't concerned at the age of the helicopter. In aviation there is an expression: Aircraft are like the farmer's ax. "Best ax I ever owned" the farmer said, "only had to replace four heads and three handles". Breathtaking. Brought tears to my eyes with this one. Wish I could give it a hundred big thumbs up!

@paulroberts36394 жыл бұрын
I love your analogy about the farmer’s axe. It is the same with motorcycles. At least here in Australia. One could say: I loved that bike, I had to replace an engine and the frame but.... I once went to register a Honda 750, exactly the same as a bike I had previously owned (had wrecked it for some of the needed parts) I had bought a complete running new bike that just needed TLC and the Government just said, sure, new frame and engine on your old bike... even though it had a new VIN number... or are we just strange here I wonder... With helicopters isn’t the maintainable schedule so rigid and expensive that an aircraft that has been maintained correctly is still worth near to its’ new value and an unmaintained one fairly worthless?

Noraly, you are such a lucky woman. I lived in Sweden many, many years ago. I was mainly in Göteborg(Gothenburg), all in all, six years. Gothenburg was founded primarily as a Dutch trading colony, the Dutch being on the same side as King Gustavus in the 30 years war, and had German and Scottish influence. Dutch planners and engineers made a contract to construct the city as they had the skills needed to drain and build in the marshy areas chosen for the town. The town was designed like Dutch cities such as Amsterdam, Batavia (Jakarta), and New Amsterdam (Manhattan). The planning of Gothenburg's streets and canals closely resembled that of Jakarta, which was built by the Dutch around the same time.

The Stora Sjöfallet is named after a hough waterfall that was once as big as the US Niagara Fall. But many years ago they build a gigantic tunnel system and used the water for a powerplant that still produces much electricity. Now you can only walk on the walls of that fall and try to imagine the thunder and the mass of water once are roaring down in the valley.

They built the first power plant there as early as in 1919. Nowadays only about 4% of the water mass runs over the natural falls.

Hmmmm I saw a cafe earlier back there, so I’ll go see if I can have a lunch 😋😛🥰 and what the hell an amazing impromptu adventure. No one deserves such luck more than you!!! Glad you said yes to his offer.

To be fair, there are not many cafés this far up north and out in the wilderness :-), but I whole heartedly agree with you!

That view at 18:20 was something spectacular. It sent shivers down my spine. And lucky you, a helicopter ride and somebody to share a fantastic local dinner with. What a lovely day.
