Also, the European Union doesn't allow Sweden to export snus. The EU wanted to take it away from Sweden when joining the EU but it was a deal breaker, Sweden threatened to rip up the contract and they let us join on the condition it won't be exported.

Im swedish. And Skoal Mint was actually the first snus I tried in the early 90s. I grew up in a small town and almost every store there sold Skoal Mint. But for some reason they stopped selling it in the late 90s and I have never seen that snus anywhere else in Sweden after that.

Tre Ankare snus was the first tobacco product to be put in a pouch. Came out in 1977. I’ve had it and it’s really good. Just a plain tobacco flavor with a little smoke added. Maybe do a video on that one?

Damn, thats expensive! Even by today standard. I remember when i started snusa 20 years ago, a can of general was 20:- sek (1.82USD) Today a general can is about 4.82$, but i mostly snus Knox white, and its 3.18$ a can, i usually order 30 cans one time a month, so its a bit cheaper.

i went over to the US this summer, crossed 5 states on a 3 week trip and of course i was surprised to see the sign "Snus" in a shop and so i bought one (as a Swede with 35 years of "snus experience"). When i asked for a fine-cut, "loose", version of it, they gave my this Skoal classic straight thing. Happy to try it, i dove right in and got quite dissapointed very fast. It doesn't in any shape or form recollect the original snus as i know it. This was long-fiber, raw tobacco tasting and extremely different (unfortunately). I think you deserve far better than that in the US and so i sincerely hope that you get to taste stuff like "General lös", "Smålands brukssnus" and similar. Forget about that white snus - that is for teenage girls. What you want is the loose variety with some proper kick and nicotine.

In Sweden, we shake the snus like a polaroid picture (Black Eyed Peas pun intenden (most of the times, It does the work) Non the less, Swedish snus scratches that tobacco itch pretty damn well. Biast or what you call it, Swedish Match know what they're doing.

I do remember (as a Swede) Skoal I think, never tried it... Though in the 90's in my small town we had a "snus" store that sold all brands sort of.. and they imported a "snus" from USA, and I just had to try it... and it was without tobacco at all... it tasted like grapes.. can not remember the name... it was good tasting (sugary, grape tasting), but sort of lacked in every other department. Tried the "white" stuff once, did not get me exited at all... no tobacco taste, it was like taking mint/herb up you lip... not for me... Maybe I'm oldskool... Then again all of our tobacco snus is flavored in many ways, but the tobacco shines thru sort of... in the white stuff, it's a mint, or a herb or candy flavored some how. Not my kind of liking...

I think $4 is about normal price of Snus in Sweden and I still find it a little high... as I went on holiday in Vietnam I ran out of snus but we found that they had it... every package cost about $12 there ....and we all know how cheap everything is over there. I swallowed my pride and sent them a message asking for 4. The guy I were texting told me sorry so many times for not being able to send out a bike to our hotel untill the next morning and even woke me up to see if I still were at the location. They arrived by car and still said sorry to me that I had to wait and I just thought... but I can buy this at the 7eleven back home.. this service is like I ordered russian caviar.......

haha, In sweden we pay 7-8usd per gallon of petrol/diesel. where you pay alot less. But when it comes to snus we win. between 3-5usd depending on brand. But that is a 150% raise in the last 15 years.

From the PACT Act of 2010, to the Tobacco Control Act of 2010, to Tobacco 21 of 2019, a majority of both parties vote against tobacco, frequently (if you look at the vote counts it's a majority of both parties that vote against tobacco). Is a log 5 cans only in USA? here in Sweden a log is 10 cans, What we call that is " Stock" wich basicly is log when u translate it from Swedish. Dont think i ever seen General mint over here. General most of the times here seems to sell regular snus products, whitout any special things like "mint" or other added flavours, atleast in my local shops. 10 cans would cost me around 42-50 dollars maybe depending on what can it is

Kind of funny that there is a company called Copenhagen making snus in the US considering that in the actual Copenhagen, you know, the capital of Denmark, it is not legal to sell snus. The EU banned it in the EU except for Sweden because bigger nations makes cigarettes and it's better to give your population cancer than to lower profits for the cigarette makers. Sometimes the EU is just there to look out for the more populous members, except when it comes to paying, of course.

I dont really like mint but for snus, skoal is good in my opinion. Its juicy and good. I didnt like general snus. Their mint and wintergreen in the us have an artificial sweetener that fucks with your stomach. I had to throw it out cus it actually did hurt my stomach. Ive tried some other swedish snus which isnt bad, but id prefer dip and that southern sweet tea is the shit. Used to dip cope long cut all the time.
