I’m Baltimore born and bred and am a Ravens since day 1… now anybody that tries to tell you that Flacco was bad aren’t ravens fans and do not know how the value he gave the team and also how much relief he brought to all ravens fans! Since the ravens very first season our team never had a consistent/dependable/top tier qb literally until Flacco arrived. Flacco showed us that we finally had a team that could offensively win games for us through the air. He was durable, consistent, and he played great in big games and the playoffs. And to truly appreciate that Flacco was a great qb look to the 2012 playoffs/super bowl run he had. He beat and out played Andrew luck 1st at home, then Peyton Manning in Denver, followed by beating Tom Brady in New England and then played perfect in our super bowl victory being awarded the mop. During those 4 games he threw for 12 tds with 0 interceptions and had arguably the greatest postseason ever for a qb! So anyone that says he was bad dont know shit and aren’t real ravens fans!

I'm from Minnesota and was listening to the radio call for the Minneapolis miracle. That was unreal, yeah they got blown out by the eagles the next week. It was even more exciting cause that year the super bowl was being held in Minneapolis and the vikings had a new stadium.

Flacco was above average from 2008-2014 then a torn ACL crippled his mobility and he lasted only 4 more years and is now a backup journeyman. the 2012 season was the end of his rookie contract and when the Mile high miracle occurred on his way to win the Superbowl. This led him to negotiate a contract that has since changed the amount quarterbacks get paid in the NFL as he became the highest paid player in the NFL at that time.

It's wild how much contracts changed in a decade, he signed a 6 year, 120 mil dollar deal and it was an insane amount at the time, now that 20 mil a year would be like 15-16th highest for QBs lol. The guy who replaced him will get more then twice a yearly salary then Flacco got

Interesting fact. David Tyree's "helmet catch" was actually the last catch of his career. He played just one more season and didn't catch any more passes before injuries forced him into early retirement. But man, what a great catch to have for your last one.

As a Seahawks fan, I totally agree with the video that this throw was the stupidest call in NFL history. The worst part is that during this play, Lynch beat his single defender at the top of the screen and was standing in the end zone as the ball got intercepted

Wasn't even a bad call though. Given their position and downs, another run play on 2nd would only run the clock and allow for one more attempt at scoring, whereas a passing play on 2nd allows for two more potential run plays on 3rd and 4th. They had just gotten stopped on their 1st run play so knowing what I just laid out they decided to pass. Also, this particular pass play they ended up calling, was run by them over 60 times throughout the regular season and not once did it end in an interception, always a TD or an incompletion at worst. It was low risk and in their best interest to have this passing play on 2nd down. It just so happens that the Patriots and Butler were prepared and made one of the greatest split second decisions in history on the play in response, otherwise its an entirely different story and the Seahawks are heralded for the play.

You should react to Secret Base’s video about the Minneapolis Miracle. It does a really good job giving the background for why this was so impactful to Vikings fans like myself. The history of the Vikings is nothing but heartbreak so this was really one of the most important moments in Minnesota history. It’s one of those moments that everyone here remembers exactly where they were and what they were doing when it happened.

Flacco is also referred to as "January Joe." When he was healthy, he kicked ass in the playoffs. The year of the Mile High Miracle, he is known for having like 11 TDs and no INT (interceptions) during the playoffs. Realistically, I'd say he is above average, but as a Ravens fan, he will always be the Elite Dragon. lol

What was even better about the second Miracle at the Meadowlands is that the Giants losing allowed the Packers, who beat the Giants the next week, to advance. And then the Packers went on to win the Super Bowl.

Joe Flaco was VERY GOOD. He made it to the playoffs every year for his first 5 years straight. After that, they traded all their receivers and NO ONE could catch. I used to SCREAM at my TV when people like Periman dropped balls right in his hands. NONE of that was Flaco's fault.

Houston Oilers eventually move to Tennessee and eventually became the Tennessee Titans. The Texans came later. Just as the Cleveland Browns moved to Baltimore and became the Baltimore Ravens. The Cleveland Browns finally came back.
@devondilling5961
@devondilling5961 Жыл бұрын
The Browns didn't leave Cleveland. Cleveland sued the NFL to keep the browns in Cleveland. Yes they didn't have a team for a few years but nothing of the browns went to Baltimore other than people. That is why the browns came back as the browns and not with another name. The Texans are the Texans because the oilers name belongs to the Titans. The browns name does not belong to Baltimore.

Joe Flacco was a good QB on a team with a phenomenal defense led by Ray Lewis and Ed Reed. Peyton Manning was by far the better QB over Eli. Speaking of crazy NFL Miracle moments, you don't have to necessarily react to this but look up "Mike Brown's Back-to-Back Game-Winning OT Pick Sixes". Basically during the 2001 NFL season the Chicago Bears won back to back games against the 49ers and Browns after coming from behind and tying the game and sending it to overtime. Then in overtime in both games, the Bears won when they intercepted the opposing QB and ran the ball back for a TD (ergo the term "Pick Six") which is crazy to begin with. What made it even crazier was that Chicago Bears Safety Mike Brown made the game winning interception both times. It never happened before and I don't think it has happened since.

Payton Manning is definitively the better QB of the Manning Family (which include their father Archie Manning whose carrer was doomed by being selected by the New Orlean Saints, he was so poorly protected by the Saint's Offensive line that opposing players were actively trying not to hurt him because they felt so bad Archie was stuck on the Saints). Eli's main advantage was that for most of his career he was on a better team with a good defense and a Great Offensive Line. Payton also was in the same division as Tom Brady his entire career, so his path to the Super Bowl was more difficult. Houston Oilers and Tennessee Titans are the same franchise. In 90s they moved to Tennesse and changed thier name.

Eli Manning is the only QB in Super Bowl history to beat Tom Brady, not once, but TWICE! Peyton or Eli? Both are great for different reasons. Fun fact: they both ended up being benched late in their careers for crappy play. You should do some research and history on Steve McNair. "Air McNair" of the Tennessee Titans. It's one of the NFL's greatest tragedies and mysteries. Flacco has as many Super Bowl rings as Aaron Rogers. One. Jus' sayin'.
