Sound tip: get some room tone as background sound, or have some low background music throughout the entire video. There are some points in the video with complete silence, which is never a good thing. A rule of thumb in sound editing is also "if something or someone is in frame, it needs to make a sound". It's immersion-breaking in close-up's when someone it taking a sip or filling up the glass and there's complete silence. Good content, good commenting, good picture editing, good beer!

Thanks for the input. I totally agree. I've done so at some points in some videos. It is just really a lot of work so I left it. But hearing that it actually matter this much I'll try to fill in soundvoid in the future. It'll not be perfect, bc I only have limited time to edit. But a big thanks for the input! Lusse Lelle = Little Lucifer. A song sung during Lucia to diminish and ward off the devil and evil spirits. In Sweden btw.

Same ting with other things called Lusse. It refers to Lucifer, not Lucia. For example the "Lussekatt" which means Lucifers Cat. He used a cats shape to scare children. To diminish this a bun with saffran was created, to create a light golden treat to enjoy and expell his influence.

In my experience Sofiero can taste very different from batch to batch, I think it is because it is their budget beer they will use whatever hops is cheapest and perhaps quality control isn't the best. I'd stay away since you never know what you are getting.

Det finns över 500 kommersiella bryggerier i Sverige idag! Nils Oscar och Oppigårds bryggeri är mina favoriter 👍🏻

Håller med. Speciellt Oppigårds har enligt mig utmärkta öl. Även deras folköl varianter smakar fortfarande bra. Svårt att gallra ur från en sådan enorm lista av bryggerier och få till ett representantativt avsnitt av Sverige 🤔

Sofiero is one of the cheapest beers, that is why its on the top ( My Opinion). I buy it when i´m low on cash =D I would rate it 1,5/5 Btw when you guys do these taste tests how do you decide what beers to try and are these beers cold or room temp?

Personally, I always have the money to buy decent beer, no mattet how poor I am. There are way better cheap beer thou. Anyhow, we do try to drink all beer in the correct temperature, sometimes the brands have their own recommendations, sometimes not. If they don't there are general recommendetions per beer style. If we can't figure that out, we simply drink them cold. A cold beer is more refreshing usually, but a warmer beer btings out more of the flavour (good and bad).

When it comes to choosing beer, our approach varies a bit on what we are going to do. So for instance, if we do a country specific eps we try to wary the beer styles regions, big known breweries and small craft breweries, country associated beer styles and so on, to get as a complex picture as possible of the countrys beer culture and and beer options. Sometimes that is not possible, then we might try to get whatever beer we can get our hands on from that specific country.

Sofiero was the cheapest beer at Systembolaget for a long time. I lived 25 m from Sofiero bryggeri when i was young

Sofiero brukade vara alkis öl, nu för tiden är det Arboga 7.2 som gäller för A-lagarna. Annars kände jag inte igen en enda av ölen ni provade, hade hoppats på lite mer klassisk svensk supar öl. Regel nummer ett är att det måste vara billig.

I use to have a "warm up test" if you like to enjoy your beer you might not "chug" it.. but that means that it sits for awhile.. getting warmer and dropps tasty some beer aren't very good at that..

The chugging part is just for shits and giggles. That's right. Warming them up would affect the overall taste. We do let some beers get warmer thou. The thing here is that we try drink them in the "prefered" temperature.

Homebrewer myself here. Sad to say that hops are not healthy for men as they contain plant estrogens that mimic female hormones inside the male body. Hops were tratitionally used in central europe as a soothing bath for women with menstrual problems and menopause. Hops were introduced in beer in the 16th century when the protestant reformation decided to curb the catholic church monopoly over gruit, which was the bittering agent used at the time in europe. The modern beer using hops is a protestant concoction, and it was put in place with a lot of push back from brewers at the time, specially on the british isles where it only became widespread almost 2 hundred years later. The Reinheitsgebot (german purity law) has nothing to do with purity. It was mostly a marketing and political/economic plot to ensure that no gruit was sold in bavaria (germany didnt exist as a nation back then) and that all grain used had to be malted, which ensured more tax collection to the bavarian royalty who was also protestant, and more revenue to them since they owned most malting houses. The Reinheitsgebot allowed the bavarian royalty to kill 2 birds with one stone, increasing revenues while harming the profits of the catholic church. The people were duped (as always) and remain to this day drinking a less then wholesome beverage for more than half a milenia now, and counting... Many beer afficionados will do anything to deny this reality, cuz, you know... it creates cognitive dissonance in their minds. As Mark Twain used to say: _"It is easier to fool someone than it is to convince him that he has been fooled"_

Interesting. Really interesting. Well this is what rather often happens in history. About hops being unhealthy for men because it has estrogen in it, is not necessary true. Soy also has estrogen in it, but it is still not harmful to men, actually the opposit. Hormones from cow milk anyhow might be less healthy. I'm not a nutritionist, but this is somewhat complicated and can not easily be desctibed or understood.
