For clarification: 300 - code word for wounded military personel 200 - code word for KIA Those are old code words from red army days, still used by russian and ukranian armies
@ddee2032 жыл бұрын
Reason behind it the estimated weight in kg to transport bodies of either dead (+100 kg) or wounded (+200 kg due to 2 staff need to carry the wheelchair or stretchers), used for rough estimate during loading military transport aircrafts during the War in Afghanistan.

30 years ago the world was much smaller, the internet didn’t exist (at least not to the public) until 1993 and even in the western countries it took many years before a majority of people became familiar with it and began using it on a daily basis. Today nothing can be kept secret, anyone with a mobile phone can take a picture or video and almost instantaneously post it on social medias. Satellites can “see” everything and even drones can document what is happening. In wars like this that’s a good thing, and will be a big help in so many areas including solving war crimes and hopefully persecution of the perpetrators.

Ukraine Stands through Merit. They have earned the support of the free world. Give them what they need to get these recent gains consolidated and reenforced over winter. This war needs finishing after spring. And that will depend on the capacity and ability to built and prepare over the winter. But while the clock is still turning, Ukraine cannot risk over extending due to a lack of modern supporting armour to anchor the line of advance. And that means durable and versatile battle tanks built to modern pattern specifications like, but not confined to, the Leopard. An international or an EU combined arms package with multiple variants of such tanks from the different backer Nations should be considered.

Ropet under 1700-talet, under "Rysshärjningarna" / "Ryssbränningarna": "RYSSEN KOMMER!!"

We're not there yet. We have a Swedish idiom "Ropa inte 'Hej' förrän du är över bäcken" - "Don't call 'Hi' before you're (safely) over the creek". That means if you see a friend on the other side of the creek (you're close to the end), don't take it for granted that you get to your friend, who perhaps didn't see you, because there's a chance that you will fall into the stream. D'you get the picture?

Do not count your chickens before your eggs hatch as we say in rural America, we are far from out of the woods yet. We just had two more conflicts flare up in the former USSR, the Armenian v Azerbaijan wars latest round that could drag Azerbaijan ally NATO Turkey in and draw in Armenian allies Russia and NATO Greece, lately it seems Turkey and Greece have been spoiling for a fight and then we have the Tadzhiks and Kirghizia going at it which could pull in Kazakhstan on the side of the latter and Uzbekistan on the side of the former.
