A tip I encountered when doing porygon runs myself is that if you accidentally level porygon before evolving it, therefore missing Nasty Plot, it would probably be cheaper to use X Specials rather than buying a Nasty Plot TM, since you only need to use Nasty Plot for the later fights in the game.

the Ho-oh strat is so smart! i just bought 3 psyducks 47-48 with hydro pump and that hiiden ability and cleared the fight like it was nothing! each duck was wabout 7-10k for price so 100% worth it if you ask me and if ur stuck on that fight. tyvm liked the video!

Btw I think you could mention that there is a way to skip trainers that aren’t usually skipable . If there is any player battling with the specific trainer you want to skip , just click on the player got to “spectate” and leave the battle as soon as you want and voila the trainer will act like Steve wonder now letting you pass by without any problem.

the Lucario moment, It reminded me that a few weeks ago an alpha Aggron came out, and someone in the chat showed that he had gotten a shiny, with good natu and good IVs Alfa aggron... the luck I will never see.

Sweet guide, just finished Johto in 5 hours with this (not nearly as optimal as you did, but was going out of the way for some stuff). Some optional addendums from my own run: 1. You can get an upgrade in the Rocket HQ and a dubious disc outside Mt. Mortar (need rock climb), which if you're planning on more Porygon runs can help reduce the cost by ~20k for the next time 2. Once you've cleared the E4 it can be nice to spend an hour or so grabbing most of the trainers you missed by transferring a high level mon such as Cloyster from the trainer rebattle guide to quickly clear them up. This helps so that you don't waste time in critical moments like alpha spawns, and I'd say just do the ones that feel like they'd be obvious when running through an area. Can also be nice to slap on an EXP share and level up some alt OT mons in case you're going for Red refight on an alt (although that's a MUCH longer goal since you need OT dex)

I'm working on a breeding guide but for the porygon, basically just buy a ditto with 31 special attack OR speed AND modest nature and put an everstone on it. Then buy a band with either spatk or speed, whichever the ditto doesn't have and put it on your porygon. Then it'll come out with 31/31 and modest!

You can use calciums and such to ev train for relatively cheap

decent ev's training spot with low lvl mons is route 24 in kanto, at day and morning u have x3 hordes pidgeys (lvls 8-9) and at night and morning route 25 oddish (lvls 8-10) 50/50 x3 horde for sp atk but there is probably better spot for sp atk Edit: Found alternative for speed EV, its also in kanto at route 4 but it's lvl 7-8 rattatas and spearows, it's better then pidgeys spot, lower level and its all the time, not only morning and day

@@JinxedBoon i mostly use the 6 mon Holding an exp share and Just Take in johto the Route above olivine City for lowest lvl 5x Speed horde and in hoenn south of fortree city(flying Gym) for 5x spA horde ( lowest lvl 5x atk horde is Kanto east of fuchsia for cloyster, krook etc)

That's a good idea too! I just found that physical attackers came across walls more often. I tried cloyster and krook and they could do like 95% of it but would get hit by a physical wall

can you do a sweep on sinnoh? i only played emerald and fire red back then so idk about the other 3 region thankfully your unova and johto sweep helped me finished those and i used it for walkthroughs up to the end. a tip for sinnoh is enough tho thanks
