It's still an absolute miracle that all the stars have aligned for this near perfect continuation of the universe. Lucasfilm should take notes.

Dude I would pay good money to see Johnny Lawrence throw a punch with his iconic KYA! to Dr. Doom's facemask.

I would just like to add, that back when Jake had that Season 4 interview with the guys, asking about Jackie Chan and Jaden, Ralph ALSO mentioned that there were the possibility of HILARY SWANK joining Cobra Kai in the future, cause she did share an actual movie with Miyagi. She’s 100% coming in for Part 3, and will be a major support for Daniel, wrapping up the Miyagi mystery 👍

Hillary Swank should be on the show she was in the next karate kid with Pat Morita. She should be at least in one episode.
@Mike09legacyАй бұрын
she will
@ChristianKrogh-DenmarkАй бұрын
Yup. She WILL, 100%! She’s the final piece to the puzzle, and will help wrap up the Miyagi mystery. I HOPE she gets some legit time to shine too in Part 3 (her movie wasn’t good, but SHE is great!)

0:59 I'd rather see Hillery Swank than Smith. Can't stand Smith since he grew up 😂

Zabka’s comment about the MCU lol
@ChristianKrogh-Denmark28 күн бұрын
I’m not buying it. The SONY movie seems like such a BS cash-grab, and no matter what it WON’T f’ing feel “organic”! The 2010 film was a straight-up soulless REmake 🙄 I’m so sure it’ll feel dumb, but I PRAY to be proven way wrong. That said, once you go Zabka, it feels downright wrong to leave him out of future projects, period.

I could see a few ways it could work. Ever since KK2, Miyagi’s ancestor and the founder of their Karate style was established to have learned Kung Fu in China before bringing it back to Okinawa. IRL, Karate was influenced a lot by Chinese Kung Fu because Okinawa was an island off the coast of mainland Japan and close to China. Then there CK season 6 being all about Daniel trying to learn more about Mr. Miyagi’s own secret past.

God no, kung fu has no place in The Karate Kid. You gotta keep em’ separated.

I mean karate has some connection to kung fu All authentic karate has ancestral links to okinawan karate and by extension kung fu. But as you ho down the line the art become significantly different from their ancestor art as more modern techniques and training methods are added or cross training in other styles add to the style. Shitojan karate is the most common style but it is not at anything like the okinawan styles its founder learned and practiced to develop shotokan. There are links and points of similarity but you can't say you practice an ancestor art when you train a descendant art. There is no substitute for training at the source but the that doesn't make it inherently better
