That last game was insane. Imagine watching that game from the past, the first year Hearthstone launched. Our minds would have blown. 50 card decks, 30 minute matches, robots merging into each other and stealing health while cleaving and gaining armor. Almost lost to token druid with a best deck against token druid with tech options against token druid.

He would’ve closed out that game much easier if he hadn’t held onto the shield slam to not kill Vargoth for absolutely no reason. This is token Druid, shield slam always ends up just killing a token in this match up, yet he held onto them when he had TWO in hand so even if he wanted to save one for no reason , he could. That ended up giving the Druid another twinspell board fill. I’m surprised neither him nor any commenters have mentioned how much of a misplay that was. He honestly should’ve lost that game for such an unforced error.

This token Druid is the absolute worst anyway. Leaving Vargoth up is the big dumb though. No idea how he could possibly justify that.

He almost lost because he insisted on gaining the armour with Scraphound instead of using it on Darius. Darius was able to gain +6/+6 and kill 3 tokens every turn. The Scraphound killed 5 tokens total and gained him 26, then died. Druid no longer has access to large minion removal without Naturalize. That game could have ended several turns earlier on the back of a huge Darius.

I don't have Archivist so I just put in my Azalina to steal my opponent's Archivist during mirror matches. Just play it before they draw their last card and they never expect it. This also lets you take out brewmaster for another card since you don't need it anymore. Is this a better system? idk but it has worked for me lol. Plus you can use all your removals and just steal them since your opponent will most likely keep theirs

Yeah, a mage used Conjurer's Calling on my turn 2 8/8 Vancleef, but you'd be surprised how great two 3-mana minions is for a Tempo Rogue. It's alternative versatility really only helps against taunt, but leagues worse than Polymorph: Boar.

Not that it matters, but at 47:08 Trump could have dealt 17 damage while giving his opponent 4 armor, thereby giving an overkill of 4. Hit with security rover on divine shield spawn a 2/3 rush. Hit with 2/3 rush, use devastate on injured Tauren, opponent gains 2 armor now at 13. Hit in with board to face for 9. Equip reaper for 5 damage, use zap for 3. Would make a good puzzle for an expansion.
