It’s a shame that the cheaters teammates will also have to be removed from participating further which is fair and I’m sure they understand and should be upset at the cheater only and maybe at themselves for not knowing they’re playing with a cheater. I think newly assembled teams at the start, the IGL should verbal make it very clear that they won’t accept any cheating, hopefully discouraging any cheating from the teammates but obviously doesn’t guarantee it.

I love Apex but the amount of people wallhacking rn is through the roof, never has been worse, there is almost no game that I don't encounter one, been playing the game since day 2 and I can tell when someone is not legit, the amount of fights me and my friends have lost due to enemy team pre-firing before we peek is insane!

It doesn’t work like that. Reports don’t have anything to do with anti cheat bans. It’s just that the anti cheat can’t detect it. They update it from time to time, but it’s much harder for their side. Like the cheater can try to see how the anticheat is implemented and find something to break it. Respawn can’t see what the anti cheat is doing and needs to find the exploits and fix them. Some cheats like Wallhacks, that don’t interact with the game, but only read out data can be entirely unfindable

There's still about 4 teams between tripods and 4th in the plq standings. They teams above them should get the spot first, just like in emea. It's not the same as an invite where ea can invite whoever they want for whatever reason they want.

the ESP overlay is different than the rendered frame that can be delivered by OBS and can be separated from the actual streamed video. meaning it can be hidden. have you ever used OBS? when you record with OBS you have the option to exclude the afterburner, steam etc. overlay meaning that you can apply the ESP overlay at that specific stage of the rendering so your wallhack can be omitted from the actual frame captured by OBS. because OBS would not be able to tell them apart. unless there's a physical camera recording your monitor, you should not trust an OBS stream as being a guarantee way to catch a cheater. heck, you could capture the game frames and apply the ESP overlay and display them on another monitor to even trick the physical camera. If you're that determined.

The pressure of comp is the only reason why these cheaters get caught because it's easy to slip up in the moment. Now imagine all the thousands and thousands of other players that aren't in comp but in pubs / ranked cheating day in day out. Some are content creators earning money from cheating since it's hard to detect if you hide it well. It's just crazy at this point.

The (important) overarching conversation is that cheats in esports and /competitive gaming is likely more prevalent than in actual sports. The only people who are legitimately stopped from cheating are players at LAN- everyone else can pretty easily cheat from their home. It’s not like people are in a “PED testing pool”. Competitive gaming (organized tournaments and ranked ladders in various games) is the LEAST regulated competitive space. It ridiculously how many people are cheating are genuinely ruining the experience of people actually trying to play regularly.

I really don't think there was anything damning in that clip... The wall shots didn't make any sense whether he was cheating or not...And he did have info...The text log was way more damning, but not close to beyond a reasonable doubt. He could have been joking... Like he was saying, "No shit I would have been better BEFORE I stopped cheating if I had been cheating."

The wall shots don't make any sense to you because you can't see the overlay on his screen that is showing him where all the enemy players are. If you could, you would see him shooting directly at the guy who is playing the door, because he thinks he can see him through the doorway and doesn't realize there's a wall there
