Sweet Billy Pilgrim have unveiled a dramatic short film for ‘Slingshot Grin’, taken from the highly praised new album Motorcade Amnesiacs out now on Kscope.
Directed by acclaimed TV and film director Julian Simpson, and featuring a host of British TV talent including Indira Varma (Games Of Thrones/Luther), Don Gilet (Eastenders/Holby City), Tracy Whitwell (Casualty), Nicola Stephenson (Safe House) and Colin Tierney (Silent Witness), alongside Sweet Billy Pilgrim’s very own Tim Elsenburg and Jana Carpenter, the video explores fractured relationships as the heartfelt song builds from bluesy declamations to a euphoric fanfare of horns and strings.

This is such a brilliantly conceived song both musically and lyrically, now with an equally clever video. The transformation from chilling to life affirming is wonderful. The beginning is Guy Garvey at his most pissed off and the end reminds me of Lemon Jelly at the top of their game! What could be better than that?!?
