Juliana Karasawa I’d disagree abt the muscle memory. It depends on the pianist, the piece and many other factors. There’s a few parts of a few pieces I play by muscle memory (I couldn’t play them if I had to think abt what notes to play next) but mostly I play from actual memory, and I assume this guy does the same.

Here it works something like a double manual organ where each row of keys activates different kinds of pipes to get different sounds. In this case the bass is on his "regular" piano, while the treble is on one with a tinny sound. He also gets to peddle each piano differently.
