Hi Andy. I am currently 70 years old. I played guitar in an unknown rock band in my teens. After 50 years, I am starting all over. I have been using youtube as my main teacher. I want to say that there many great teachers out there and you are among my favorites. After about twenty hours of practice, I am surprised that I still remember both the fingering and have the muscle memory to play. I am especially interested in playing the blues and like the way that you presented this first Riff. Although I know the pentatonic scale and can play the scale at a low to moderate speed, I could not find an easy lesson on Riffs. After watching it a couple times, I can now comfortably play my first Riff. Thank you.

I've had trouble learning scales for a few months now and it seems you have made it easier for me. Thank you very much!

Thanks Andy . The way you describe first the pentatonic scales and then give the option of which tracks , is excellent and makes the whole lesson easier to understand . Whilst you were showing the first part , I was thinking there was a note missing, then you told us about the "hammer" on .One of my favourite tracks , used to play drums to this track . Much easier than trying to figure out from Ultimate Guitar Tabs . Looking forward to more, specially Eric . Thanks again for a wonderful explanation.

Finally a teacher showing how to apply scales to real songs (instead of vague backing tracks) 🙂A much better way of getting musical with scales

Awesome job on the guitar lessons! I have to show my sis this since she took a guitar class in school. I like this song a lot, maybe she might like to try playing the chords to it. Also, btw (I don't want to sound like a weirdo for saying this but) you are very handsome and gorgeous to look at. ;D

I’m pretty sure the breakdown/ solo of can’t stop by rhcp is just a modified version of the e minor pentatonic scale

Hi Andy, First, thanks for the lesson! Another guy looking for the backing "Jam track"; is it still available?
@carolschindler88814 жыл бұрын
It would really be helpful if a small chart was included in the lesson. Hard to keep up with which fret, string and finger. I really enjoy the lessons but that would be a great help.

Andy that was great, really helpful mate. Whereabouts in the UK are you? Would like to hook up for a little personal tuition, Dr Paul. I'm in Nottingham by the way.
