Sweet Lydia - Swartzentruber Old Order Amish - Part 2

Lydia continued to show quilts as I watched, amazed at their beauty! When she was content that she had shown me all the quilts....we went out to the Quilt Shop to pick out fabric and design my own personal quilt, The Bear Paw. When we finished I investigated an industrial sewing machine that was similar to the machine used to repair a canvas cover for my car. (Please note: it was a young man that used the machine to repair my canvas cover!) Quite a contraption, so very clever. I would like to give the Glick's quilt shop a name, anyone want to make a suggestion? Old Order Quilts? thoughts? Please comment on this video. Wonderful. In my next life I'd like to be Amish, such lovely people and I do like the old ways - learning so many skills that are forgotten. I love the feathered star, but the others are just as beautiful. Exciting to see how your one looks at the end.

I believe the blue quilt is called feathered star. Love love it. I love blue! Did you know the most purchased quilt fabric is blue?

Thank you, I'm really excited! Yes once I confirm the price with Lydia I will email you karen...I believe she told me $475. But to be honest I was so overwhelmed with her hospitality and ALL THE QUILTS!
