This recipe is made with matcha from d:matcha in Kyoto. dmatcha.com/ You can probably find others online or in a good tea shop. Also at a Japanese grocery store, if you have one nearby.

How does matcha powder taste ? Does it taste like green tea ?

It depends on the matcha, some taste kind of grassy, others taste like citrus, or even raspberries. Generally it's going to have a more intense flavor than green tea but won't be as astringent due to the way the leaves have been grown (and the fact that it only uses the young shoots).
