According to most people, a black cat is bad luck. However, a Poland animal shelter doesn’t agree. Rather, their black cat is going around the shelter, taking care of other animals in need. The staff at the Bydgoszcz animal shelter call the black cat Rademenes, and he provides companionship and comfort to animals in the shelter getting treatment, often laying down with them. He may not be therapeutically effective but does offer comfort and assurance to animals in pain. Rademenes was once a patient that lived in the animal shelter. His owners brought the cat into the shelter for an inflamed respiratory tract, worried that he would not recover. To ease his suffering, the staff had scheduled to put him to sleep. Since he was contagious, they quarantined him, keeping him away from other animals.

My 1st Killer and 2nd Cosmos are black. The bond between them and me is incomparable to anything I've experienced. They were inseparable. I wish iPhones were around so I could have documented their play and how older would teach younger his wisdom and mischief. Killer, died at age 9 from kidney disease. Cosmos was comforting him his last few months alive. Cosmos inherited many Killer's personalities after Killer died. Cosmos is now 10 & is the alpha male over the 2 Scottish Folds Sheena 3 and Sammy 6. The whole "black cats are bad luck " is nonsense that fairy tales believers and religious fanatics imagine as reality. Their black coats are their only difference between them and other cats. People should focus on a cat's personality not if the coat matches their freaken furniture. Stupid humanoids

Sorry for Killer, i hope he's in a better place now, and you're right, i found black cats beautiful and majestic, i have a black cat my self, she's 7 and her name is Fafa, she's so funny and smart, one day last year she came back home with a little grey female kitten, she wasn't pregnant and im sure she found the kitten lost or something, she took care of her as her child, the kitten is 1 year old now and they are together all the time ♥
