Fever Of Love - didn´t make it in UK charts, nor did Loast Angels, though both singles are uniques and so underrated, OMG...must ask WHY? Because all radio channels were organized and manipulated by Queen...shame on them!

I knew it : The Queen of England is no Sweet Fan
@identifierat3 жыл бұрын
I think it is because Queen has a rather similar sound, so if they put two bands that were as good and sounded alike, that would probably start a rivalry between them. I think Brian May (guitarist of Queen) once said they had been inspired by The Sweet to do some songs, and Andy once said that Bohemian Rhapsody had somehow inspired him to create Love is Like Oxygen.. Anyways it is sad that they didn't receive all the appreciation they deserved in the UK, but they definitely did in other countries of Europe, especially in Germany, and I think they were big in Australia too.
@andreasuhlbrandt67433 жыл бұрын
@@identifierat Yeahhh Both bands used high picthed harmonies. Sweet did it first and no doubt, Queen followed them and when Killer Queen came out, the game was lost by Sweet. In UK, sweet never got a chance to proof their abilities, just in the end of their saga in 1978, when they had a huge concert in Hammersmith Odeon and it was only one gig. They should have toured entirely UK TOUR after that, so Level Headed would have made charts in UK. But they went to America and the rest is history and Brian left after some USA gigs.
