I taught a memory retrieval class in our mental health facility for elderly Alzheimer's clients. I would put on songs from their generation and wow would they wake up... " Do you remember when you heard this song (Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy - Andrews Sisters) first? " "At the YMCA dance on Broadway in 1942... I met my first husband that night. " And would all get them talking. Amazing what they could remember. I would work my way through the years through music and dance.
