Mrs Teresa, I just made this pound cake last night, but I didn't put a topping on it, but now I am going to make me some homemade caramel sauce and toasted pecans to glaze the top.I just use nutmeg and cinnamon in my cake and yes the cake jiggle and soft. I made the sweet potato pound cake it came out very good according to my son it tasted better the second day. He got the leftover batter like my mama used to give us but the pound cake itself I took it to our fellowship lunch at church. But instead of the caramel I used jar of marshmallow cream with half bar of cream cheese and half cup of powder sugar. 1/4 tsp of both lemon and vanilla extract. Add just enough milk to loosen glaze

Another Wonderful Wednesday Sweet Treat! Don’t know how I seem to already have on hand the ingredients for your cakes. I guess great minds think alike. 😅 I live alone so I will cut the recipe in half and use a loaf pan or my 8 inch tube pan. If not, I would eat a whole cake in 3 days.
