Maybe do a Geo/Chevy Metro motor swap? Then it’d be a Metro Metropolitan !

adding in the video of me towing the Nash with my e-bike up at thunder hill would have given depth to the tow vehicle montage. That car was absolutely terrifying to drive on the track, the whole front end would bounce as the front outside tire would literally fold under the wheel going around the off camber cyclone turn. Their solution to the locking brakes in that second race was just to remove the rear brakes and send me out with the, marginal at best, fronts. That tidbit of information was not told to me until I had backed out of the pit and was heading to the track entrance. Fun times in that car for sure.

The NNM (name longer than the actual car) were rare but almost everyone I know had spotted one somewhere. Very easy to recognize. CW Nash would be so proud.

Definitely from the rare-but-nobody-cares department. 😁 Not *that* rare though I don't think. Made from about '57 to '61-ish? Maybe low numbers for a US cars but not for an English.

That example may be a Nash, but they were sold with 4 different marque badges. Early North American csrs were badged as either Nash or Hudson in North America. Early cars were a solid colour. Later examoles, with the two tone paint, were badged simply as Matropolitan. In England and Europe, the cars were badged as Austin Metropolitan. The engine used was not a Morris engine. It was the Austin A Series inline 4 with disolacement topping out with the 1 litre version.

After 1957 they were an American Motors Metropolitan because AM sunsetted the Nash and Hudson names at the end of the 1957 model year.

This is the only correct swap. Hudson Twin-H power!
