Four years ago about the same time in Michigan I lost power for 8 days. It was miserable. It is the cold, not being able to taking a shower. I put most of the food in the garage because it was so cold. We had to replace complete roofs in my neighborhood. So after Christmas you heard nothing but saws cutting down trees and roofing everywhere. And even the fast food outlets and the motels lost power. So I am so happy you won't experience that.

Losing power is SUCH a bummer. So glad you’re back up and running. We lost power for 4 days a couple summers ago in a bad storm and it was the WORST! You don’t know how much you miss it until you do. Then when it comes back on it feels like a miracle, lol! Those mittens are really cute! Nothing like a handmade gift!! ❤

It was quite the wind storm. We lost power in central Nova Scotia for almost 24 hours. No damage to our trees but a crimp in my baking and knitting for the season.

I heard about the wind storm in the news. That's a lot of frogging! I have knit by flashlight and it is not easy. Happy your power is back it feels so good when that happens. We lost ours for three days once but it was in June so at least it would was warm. Thanks for sharing your day

I live in Halifax, Massachusetts, near Plymouth, and we got hit with the same storm. It was wicked bad. Luckily, we didn't lose power, but lots did. Also heavy damage in the area.

Just when I was thinking oh I wish they had a generator you said he got yours working. :) hooray! You lived in Grand Cayman for a bit?! I just went there in October on a cruise! The water was SO WARM. I'm not a fan of hot weather but I did enjoy that port.

yes lived there for 2 years - we actually left because we got sick of the heat haha

@@sweetskeinomineamanda2059 Well I can understand that for sure! I live in Vancouver. Summers generally mid 20s C winters generally 8 to 10 C. Of course sometimes it's hotter or colder but just in general. I've lived here since 99 so anything outside that temperature range and I'm in pain haha

I could tell you were using the wrong size needle because Christina from Chelsea Yarns did the same thing. Your stitches looked too big. I should have commented to you. You both helped the rest of us out that will be starting the Coorie to use the right size needles to start!
