Sweet Tooth is truly one of my favorite Netflix shows ever and boy, it's so nice to have a fave Netflix show that wasn't cancelled mid-way for no reason, truly a new feeling for me

This is one of those shows i was like,... "hmmm, i will watch the first episode". I was then like, well, it's kinda a kids show, but this is pretty good. Anyhow, i watched all 3 seasons happily. It's worth watching. I found it very entertaining.

I only started watching this series because of Christian Convery's excellent performance in the One Piece live action and I wasn't disappointed. He is amazing as Gus as well. It's a pretty charming series overall with a great cast. Writing is mostly good, though I wasn't a fan of where the story went in the final season.

I understand why but it's a pity you can't continue with this, even as something you watch for yourself, not for review. The factors you like so far continue for all three seasons and I think you'd end up enjoying it a lot.

I think another show that does the introduction of different plot threads and pacing of them quite well is Station Eleven, though I think that show leans more heavily on a mystery element than Sweet Tooth does (maybe because Station Eleven is only a single season?)

If you like this show then you'll love the comic by Jeff Lemire. Vertigo book I think.

I just couldn't get into it. Felt the attempts at getting me to feel things, just weren't earned. Gus continued to be this too innocent to be held accountable, or change, doe eyed kid, then when needed, showed he was mature enough to handle serious situations. It felt like the story was written for two different people, but they combined them into one. I got to episode 4, and had enough.

Simple: two reasons: 1) I was curious about where the mystery was going, because I’m always a sucker for answers 2) A lot of my dislike is retroactive based specifically on the message of those last episodes, which is, in my opinion, pseudo-environmentalist nonsense …I may also have been hate watching it for fun Personally, I’m not a subscriber to the “dead dove do not eat” thing except in cases where it’s going to cause serious harm - I think as long as you’re not harassing people about it, it’s ok to engage with things you don’t think you’ll like and continue with them even if you don’t for whatever reason - sometimes I do that just to see what the hype is about, and even if it’s not for me I continue to make sure I’ve really given it a fair shake! Sometimes I just want to engage with something my friends like just so I have a frame of reference! Oh and I also only answered for the algorithm and because the video directly asked for thoughts LOL

Without spoiling, I’ll try to summarize my feelings thusly: animals aren’t “wiser” or “more in tune” with nature than humans - deer and pigs, for example, are UNBELIEVABLY destructive and invasive and will ravage ecosystems if their population isn’t controlled by culling - they just get eaten or have very small populations at the top of the food chain. None of that would be a problem except that I see the “animals are so much wiser than humans” thing over and over and over again presented as like…some sort of deep wisdom and I’m sick and bored of it LOL

I read the comic just because it was a crazy idea and i wanted to see where the story went. The comic is really good. Never watched the show, have to give it a try

From what I've heard, the show is significantly less dark than the source material and changed some things (i.e. took out most of the references to prostitution and SA, made Jeppert much more sympathetic from the get-go and some other stuff), but maintains the spirit and overyll storybeats of the comics. I've watched the show and really liked it, but haven't read the comics (yet).
